"This home was in an ideal location right on the beach. The private pool was a wonderful amenity. The home was extremely well-appointed, and clean. Although this was an older property, we found it to be maintained, and very comfortable as well as beautiful. The grounds are large and inviting. The manager provided excellent service, and we would certainly consider staying here again."

"I just returned from my first visit to Fort Lauderdale and the Pelican Resort, and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. This particular room had some perks which are unique; a beautiful leather couch where I could put my feet up, a larger refrigerator (which we kept stocked), a nice large cabinet to store more goodies, and these incredibly comfortable chairs on the balcony (perfect for evening relaxation). We were there during the Super Moon Lunar eclipse, and viewing this on our balcony on a warm night made this a truly magical experience. Sue and Steve were always quick to respond to questions prior to the trip from whether there is an iron (there is), to whether there was a coffee maker (also in the room). The restaurant is wonderful (try the club sandwich for lunch) and offers patio dining. The beach is incredible, just down the elevator and out the door. There are loads of lounge chairs and the Pelican staff will do just about anything for you. (If you go, give Joe a shout from me. This kid works the beach nearly every day, setting up chairs and umbrellas, or moving them if the tide starts to come in, which it did). Pelican staff even came by when we were on the beach offering tasty samples of a fruit smoothie (delicious). There are lots of restaurants close by, either walking or a short cab ride. We did take a ride to Everglades Holiday Park, which is a great tour for those who new to Florida. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to return again."

"You couldn't been the location of the property...it was right on the beach! There was a restaurant and bar on the premises as well as a gift shop. If you wanted to eat at different places, you had to take a taxi because nothing was within walking distance. There was not even a gas station very close. We walked 1 mile one way to a Walgreens to get some snacks. The restaurant and bar were just a little more expensive than what I like to pay, but if you are okay with spending more, you could totally have everything on the property and wouldn't have to go anywhere! We thought our room would be overlooking the ocean based on pictures, but it was on the other side of the building. The resort is going through construction and I believe they will be working on it for a few months to come. The lobby, porch, and rooms were beautiful. Everyone was very friendly."
