"First let me start by saying that the owner of the unit, Larry, was wonderful from the start! Easy to contact and always returning emails promptly. I was traveling with my 80 year old Dad, so this was the perfect hotel, and unit for him. The Pelican Grand is right on the beach, providing beach umbrella/chairs & towels by some wonderful cabana boys, drinks on the beach are a bit expensive ($12), but nice to have them brought to you, a wonderful restaurant where you can dine overlooking the beach, as well as a bar, and lazy river pool. The rocking chairs on the veranda were great in the evening to watch dusk while eating ice cream from the hotel's creamery! This was wonderfully relaxing for my Dad! The entire staff was hospitable and always willing to help, as well as the valet (although you will have to pay $30 per night for valet because there's no where to park). As for the unit...the beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom is good size, the small living area has a sleeper sofa and love seat, in addition to tv, microwave, and small fridge. There's also a safe in the closet, which gave us a peace of mind! All enough for us to be comfortable the entire week. Our view for the corner unit was 2nd to none! You could see beachfront and all down the south coast of Fort Lauderdale! The only suggestion I have for Larry is that you change the plastic chairs in the balcony, as they are dirty and mildew all over them. I know others have mentioned this to you, so please take appropriate action, as it decreases the value of your renter's stay. With that said, I highly recommend Larry's unit to anyone traveling with less than 4 individuals. Thank you Larry for our memorable stay!"
