  • PERFECT Waterfront Property!

"I used this amazing property for a very special occasion on Sept 05 weekend. My friends and family couldn't get over how beautiful the house is! The amount of space is unbelievable. The owner, David, did an excellent job in ensuring that everything was good to go by the time my family and friends arrived. He worked with my schedule, and was flexible. The house is clean when we arrived. The bedrooms/bathrooms were clean, beds were made, pool was cleaned and ready to use, the backyard was clean and property was well maintained. The amenities in the kitchen were fabulous (it comes fully stocked with plates and silverware). The appliances were all nice and clean. There are plenty of towels & linens. The showers are all clean as well. I was surprised at how many rooms there are, and how many bathrooms as well. The dock out back was perfect, as I made use of it. The owner had no problem with me docking the boat overnight. The waterfront views are picture perfect. Everyone was able to enjoy unobstructed views of sunrise and sunset every single day. The tiki hut out back is a fantastic place to chill out and enjoy a drink. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking. I will 100% consider this next time I want to host another get together in Miami. A special thanks to the owner for allowing us to enjoy this property!"

  • Great Location

"Our Fontana stay recently worked out perfectly for us. We have occasion to visit Miami Beach often since our daughter lives here. Other lodging like strip hotels cannot compare to the value of Fontana though it is not located on the beach it has other advantages. The beach hotels can be very expensive and often noisy. We were in town for the birth of a grandson and within walking distance of our daughters condo building and near all required conveniences such as food, coffee in the morning and such. In rained often but that is not the fault of anyone it is the rainy season. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a safe location. It is off season so I cannot speak for in-season times but it was quiet most times. I did use the pool a few times with my visiting granddaughter. The properties seem to be managed very well and all contacts with representatives were greeted courteously and thoughtfully. The host thoughtfully supplied coffee and a french press which was used often and was appreciated. The refrigerator made a supply of ice and was great for storing snacks and chilling wine. The arrangement went very smoothly through VRBO. Thanks John and Carlos. I would stay at the Fontana again."

  • The Best

"My husband and I had the best time in this house. We brought our two dogs that are usually cooped up in a small apartment. They ran and played and chased each other around the back yard. They learned very quickly to stand by the garage door when they wanted to go out which was a lot. The neighbors new the owner and they were very friendly to us. We live in a very noisy area so this quiet neighborhood was perfect for us. It was convenient to stores and shopping within mins by car. The breeze off the water at night was refreshing. The kitchen has a lot of the things one might need like coffee filters, condiments, cookware etc. We hope to go back again next year."

  • SPECIAL OWNERS of a SPECIAL PROPERTY make very SPECIAL MEMORIES..

"Special Owners of a Special Property make very Special Memories..the owners Harvey and Susan could not have been more graciously and generously accommodating with my schedule and timeline. Planning a 3 month sojourn from Florence, Italy could have been complicated and stressful but they made everything simple and effortless. Their "5 star" property is very well maintained and features recent renovations completed with excellent taste, quality materials and workmanship. Each comfortably spacious room reflects their attention to details and personalized care in furnishing selections. The condo's position at the corner of the 3rd floor permits you to watch manatees from the lovely lanai..sailboats from the living room couch and shuffleboard matches from one bedroom. The photos are 100% accurate and you'll truly feel like you're living right on a houseboat! This corner of a tropical paradise that was my "home-away-from-home" for 3 months comes with all the amenities; the complex itself is extremely well taken care of and everyone is both friendly and welcoming. May I add, the location of this condo is remarkable. Minutes from downtown Atlantic Avenue, Delray - Ocean Blvd - Boca Raton - I-95 + excellent restaurants, shopping opportunities, sport activities and many attractions of interest like Morikami art museum + Japanese gardens, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, etc. This is indeed a vrbo "gem". In Italy, people experience "ABC" which stands for Another Beautiful Church. Here I experienced Amazingly Awesome 'n Beautifully Bright 'n a Colorfully Cool Condo!! With hopes to return to savour the beauty and warmth of your home in the future..again, a most sincere thank you to Harvey and Susan for renting their home to me where wonderful visits with my special Family & Friends did make very special memories."

Miami Beach Travel Tips

While it's often considered a part of Miami itself, Miami Beach is actually its own separate area, but you'll find just as much excitement and diversity here. Miami Beach blends together a variety of cultures and heritages to create an eclectic, interesting and thrilling place with plenty to do. You'll find a big Latin influence that'll have you dancing until the wee hours of the morning in a nightclub or savoring each bite of a delicious meal at one of Miami Beach's local restaurants.

There's a plethora of culture to take in here as well, from awesome examples of Art Deco architecture to museums depicting the area's history, beautiful artwork and everything in between. When you're not exploring the various attractions, you're sure to spend plenty of time outdoors soaking up the Florida sun on the plethora of beaches or taking a hike and enjoying the natural scenery. With Miami Beach's subtropical climate, it's the perfect place for a winter getaway to escape the dreary cold, but it's great to visit all year round.

Things to Do in Miami Beach

- Bass Museum of Art: Plan a trip to the Bass Museum of Art where you can see masterpieces dating to the Renaissance all the way through modern times. The museum was founded in 1963 by a private donation from John and Johanna Bass. You'll see such artists as Peter Paul Rubens, Ferdinand Bol, Cornelis van Haarlem, Armand Guillaumin and Benjamin West.

- Miami Beach Botanical Garden: Experience the tropical beauty of Miami Beach with a visit to the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. You'll find 2.6 acres of green space, originally founded in 1962 and updated in 2001 with a landscape renovation. As you stroll through the grounds, you'll be sure to marvel at the native Floridian plants and trees such as orchids, cycads, palms and bromeliads, among others. Stroll through the Japanese Garden and let the flowing sounds of the ponds and fountains relax you. There's even a wetland with a mangrove and pond apple trees.

- Lincoln Road: You'll want to do some shopping during your trip to Miami Beach, and a great place to get some retail therapy or pick up some souvenirs is Lincoln Road. This pedestrian road is a great place to take a walk and peruse the shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes. You'll find a variety of stores selling clothing, home hoods, bath products, sweets and everything in between. Some shops include American Apparel, LUSH, Dylan's Candy Bar and Aldo, as well as local stores and boutiques. After you've shopped 'til you dropped, swing by an eatery or cafe to refuel with some caffeine or a bite to eat.

- Art Deco Walking Tour: Miami Beach is a haven for Art Deco architecture that is truly a sight to see. Art Deco flourished in the 20th century after World War I. It brought together traditional ideas mixed with imagination that's often characterized by bold, geometric shapes and patterns, rich colors and major ornamentation. Visit the Art Deco Welcome Center to take a 90-minute walking tour where you'll see not only Art Deco but Mediterranean Revival and Miami Modern styles of structures throughout the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District.

"'Dining in Miami Beach'"

- OLA: With such a large Latin American and Spanish influence in Miami Beach, dining on food from these regions is a must. OLA offers delicious Latin American cuisine from acclaimed Latin chef Horacio Rivadero. Be sure to try his ceviches, mustard mojo, beef tenderloin churrasco or Florida sweet corn empanada. Pair your meal with a wine from the carefully chosen list by sommelier Albert O'Mahen to complement your bold dishes. Zagat rated OLA as being extraordinary with a 27 rating, and Food and Wine Magazine named Rivadero "best chef for the gulf region 2012."

- Joe's Stone Crab: For 102 years, Joe's Stone Crab has been a staple of Miami Beach pleasing residents and visitors alike with its delicious seafood meals. It'd be a travesty to visit this Florida city without a trip to Joe's, where you'll find a welcoming atmosphere built on a love of food, friends and family. Joe Weiss opened his lunch counter in 1913 where he served up fish sandwiches and fries, and since then the business has become a local favorite where you can sample crab cakes, yellowfin tuna, lobster and mussels. If you're not a fan of seafood, there's still plenty of options here from the chicken to the sirloin burger, rack of lamb, filet mignon and much more.
