  • Wonderful stay!

"My husband and I stayed 8 days at this house and were joined for three days by my daughter and my three grandkids ages 6, 4, and 2. The house is set up really well for families. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms kept everyone happy. The large family room was enjoyed by the kids while they played with their toys, watched TV, and came in and out of the house from the pool. The floors in the house are laminate and tile so it was easy to clean up if the kids hadn't dried off all the way after getting out of the pool. We really enjoyed that the pool and patio were all screened in. No bugs! The location of this house is great....easy to get to restaurants, the beach, and diving. We really appreciated having a washer and dryer...decreased the amount of clothes we needed to bring. The house had plenty of linens, towels, pots/pans, plates, cups, glasses, etc. It was very clean, which is something I appreciate. The only downside is the kitchen is small....but who cares! We were on vacation and didn't cook anyhow. It was fine for breakfast and lunch making. We would definitely rent this house again."

  • Better than expected ... Great location

"We spent three days after our cruise in this house. We are a family of 4, with two teenage girls, and we enjoyed the location which is walkable to the beach and easy to reach from both Everglades port or the airport. Everything you need is close and we must confess that having access to wifi after 8 days on the sea was a plus for the younger members of our family ! The house was spotless and the surroundings very quiet since we were in the summer. Since parking near the beach may become a challenge, you should always walk to the beach. We highly recommend this place."

  • Great Condo, Even Better Landlords!

"I rented this condo for 4 months in order to explore "The Season" in Palm Beach. I had never been in PB prior to my stay with Bev and Steve. I have to say I couldn't have been happier with my choice. The condo is great. It has a fantastic view, a newly remodeled kitchen, and is literally ON the water. You could probably use a long fishing pole to fish from the balcony. The sunsets can be spectacular. The condo building is close to the Lake Worth bridge and you can explore the shops and restaurants of Main Street in 5 minutes. Worth Avenue and all of downtown PB is only 10 minutes away by car and within easy biking distance. Or, leave the parking lot and make a right turn onto highway A1A (not really a highway - just a 2 lane road with a maximum speed limit of 35 mph) and journey south to Delray Beach and explore the hip and happening vibe of restaurants and shops that is sure to excite both young and old alike. This condo is perfectly situated and close to all the exciting areas in the Palm Beaches. And lest I forget, your landlords live in the building. They made me feel right at home, suggested restaurants and outings, and "showed me the ropes". You won't find two nicer people! Perhaps like myself you will enjoy Palm Beach enough to make it your home. While renting this condo I purchased a home and now live here seasonally."

  • PERFECT BEACH HOME!

"We had a great time in this lovely home (with my 2 daughters ages 21 and 23 and my son age 18) Block from the beach (where we spent our days sun bathing, swimming and playing paddle ball). After the beach we barbequed on the nice patio, swam in the huge pool and played board games. House was clean and decorated nicely (definitely felt like I was at the Beach). Publix was a short ride. Restaurants walking distance. Took a nice bike ride (bikes provided by owner) through the nice quiet neighborhood every morning. We will definitely be back and please don't change a thing. Had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Jane, Harley, Coutney & J"

Florida South East Travel Tips

Southeast Florida is known as one of the best beach spots in the U.S., and it truly has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a party spot or a nice place for family travel, you can find it all here. Check out these great vacation locales:

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is likely the most family-friendly locale in Southeast Florida, with plenty of cozy bed and breakfast options near the beach. And of course, there are abundant beaches to choose from! Check out the main beach and the popular Fort Lauderdale Beach Promenade, which recently underwent a $26 million dollar renovation. Aside from lounging on the beach and playing in the sand, take the kids for a stroll on the promenade, watch serious beach volleyball players compete and have lunch at Oasis Cafe or Shula’s on the Beach.

If you want a quieter beach to take the family to, head to the John U. Lloyd Beach State Park at Dania’s Beach. It’s less crowded, has gorgeous views and is an excellent swimming spot. There are also 250 acres of barrier island to explore via guided nature trails.

At some point, head into the city and shop on popular Las Olas Boulevard. The kids will love Kilwin’s Chocolates and Ice Cream for delightful sweets and Basics for souvenirs. Other fun family-friendly activities include taking a ride on the Fort Lauderdale Sun Trolley, checking out the Museum of Discovery and Science and embarking on a cool boat tour with BlueFoot Pirate Adventures, where the kids learn pirate slang, enjoy pirate face painting and set sail!

Miami and Miami Beach

Miami and it’s counterpart just across Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, have things for both families and partiers.

For kids

Take kids to the Miami Children’s Museum, a delightful place with hands-on activities that teach about different professions. They can run a pretend vet clinic or learn what firefighters do, among other things. There’s also a nice playground here. Planet Air is an awesome spot for older kids to let out their excess energy. It has a huge trampoline park, more than 30 ropes courses, rock climbing facilities and bungee trampolines so kids can get some air in a 6,000-square-foot space. There’s also the Miami Seaquarium, the Lion Country Safari and Jungle Island where you can get up close and personal with exotic wildlife. For an off-the-beaten path feature, check out Wynwood Walls, an area in midtown Miami known for its beautiful art. Kids can run freely around whimsical life-size murals. For a cool treat, head to The Frieze Ice Cream Factory in Miami Beach. Do your souvenir shopping at Bayside Marketplace, an excellent little collection of souvenir stands, clothing stores and sweet shops.

For adults

Miami is renowned the world over for its excellent nightlife and party scene. If you’re heading to Miami or Miami Beach with a group of friends, don’t miss out on these awesome clubs, bars, restaurants and other places for adults:

- Grab dinner at glamorous hotspot The Forge, a rococo-style steakhouse with a Parisian facade and serious celebrity chops.

- Head to Little Havana for a taste of authentic Cuban food, shops and cigars.

- Hang out on South Beach. The iconic Miami hangouts are Joe’s Stone Crab, Opium Garden and Nikki Beach Club.

- Visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on Biscayne Bay. It’s a European-style estate with beautiful artwork and antiques that really stand out among the beachy and relaxed feel of Miami.

- Look for celebrities at fabulous renowned restaurants, including Casa Tua, Prime 112 and Soho Beach House.

- Hit the clubs! Miami is known for its lavish nightlife, and some of the best are Myntlounge, Mokai Miami, LIV and Rokbar Miami.

Palm Beach and West Palm Beach

These side-by-side locales are best known as cities where older adults retire to enjoy the warm weather and relaxed lifestyle. Whether you’re visiting family or just looking for a quiet, pretty place to vacation, there’s plenty to do and see in the Palm Beach area.

Check out the stunning Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, a 73-room mansion completed in 1902 that is an excellent representation of the Gilded Age with its grand staircases, original artwork, and gold-brushed ceilings. Take a tour and see most of the original furnishings and learn more about the life of this railroad magnate. The photo opportunities here are spectacular. Lay out on the beaches of Peanut Island and John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, stroll in the Mounts Botanical Garden, shop on Worth Avenue and take the kids to the perfect little Palm Beach Zoo.
