  • Highly Recommended!!!!!

"The condo is located in the Bonita Springs Golf Resort. Access to the community is controlled (gated) and requires an access code after 6 PM. Grocery, hardware, pharmacy and eating establishments are less than one mile away. The condo has a single covered parking space just steps from the front door. The grounds and surrounding area are excellently maintained. Upon arrival, we had a little difficulty with the electronic door lock and had to make a phone call to gain entry to the unit. The owner happened to be in Bonita Springs and came over to help us out. He was very friendly and accommodating. We were pleased with the cleanliness, decorations, furniture and condition of the unit. As this is a ground floor end unit, a great plus was the enclosed courtyard decorated with a table, chairs and electric grill. Plenty of closet space and storage within the unit and an ample supply of cookware, kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, etc. The condo was also well equipped with many kitchen ‘gadgets’ (juicer, coffee machines, blender and waffle iron to name just a few), the appliances worked well and the full size washer and dryer kept up with our wet towels and swimsuits after visiting the pool almost every day. While the unit amenities included an electric iron, the ironing board was a small tabletop size (a full sized folding ironing board would have been nice). Large flat screen TV’s and individual Blu-Ray DVD players are located in the living room and both bedrooms. All that said, we found the listing as “handicapped accessible” not altogether truthful. While there are no steps to enter/exit the unit, lani and courtyard, the doors are standard size (30 inches wide), guest bedroom hallway and bathrooms are narrow (hard to navigate a wheelchair in), no grab bars in the shower/tub or around the toilets and both toilets are standard height. This was not a serious problem for us but I did have to make a trip to the local pharmacy to purchase a toilet seat riser due to my bad back. Pros: Location, close to everything of interest yet in a quiet area of town. Cleanliness, appearance, well maintained (inside and out). Close proximity of parking, pools and clubhouse. Friendliness of neighbors. Cons: Not an ideal ‘handicapped accessible’ unit (could be easily remedied by installing grab bars in the bathrooms and replacing the toilets with ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) compliant height fixtures. Pools and hot tubs not accessible after dark."

  • My # 1 choice for a vacation home rental.

"We had a fantastic time! This home is very clean and exceeded our expectations. The layout of this house really provided privacy both inside and out. Lots of areas to catch the Florida sun. I have stayed in several vacation homes and I would rate this home my #1 choice. Can't wait to reserve this home again."

  • Exactly as advertised

"Our family of 2 plus another couple thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Good Haven House. Everything was as described in the profile of the house, down to the types of fish we caught off the dock! The home is very well kept, roomy with comfortable beds, plenty of linens, and a great kitchen. As other reviewers have noted, the steps both inside and outside are a bit steep, so may give trouble to some, though we had no issues. The house location has the benefit of being near to beaches, restaurants, and community activities but at the same time is secluded and quiet for those who appreciate solitude. We had no problems during our stay, the homeowner was very accessible to answer any questions prior to our arrival, the housekeeping staff that we met on our last day was very friendly and accomodating, and our deposit was returned within days of our departure. We especially appreciate such a nice place that allowed our pets to accompany us on vacation. Thank you, Good Haven House! We look forward to another visit. P.S. Really, don't miss the sunsets from the dock when you stay here! Pictures simply cannot do them justice!"

  • A wonderful place to stay!!!

"My husband, 45 lb. daughter (dog, who enjoyed it as much as we did), and I stayed here for two weeks. We couldn't have picked a better house for peace and quiet. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. Despite it raining at least once a day for the two weeks and some medical issues I was dealing with, we had a great time. Each day, two cranes come to visit to be fed as well as several deer in the evening. We sooooo miss them! The owners, Cindy and George, R so sweet. Wished we lived closer and could see them more. We will definitely stay here again. Hope to do so this year if all goes well."
