  • Charming beach cottage!

"We rented this charming beach cottage Christmas week and had a fabulous time there! From the minute we arrived and stepped in the front door, we were impressed! The place is immaculately clean...it is spic & span. The cottage is decorated beachy chic very tastefully done. It had everything we needed and more. Even had twinkling xmas lights wrapped around deck. What a nice touch by Michelle since we were there at Xmas. The kitchen is well equiped, the bathroom was spotless, linen closet well stocked with soft, thick bath towels & also big beach towels. The outside has a nice deck and also a patio table & umbrella in the side yard. There are beach chairs and a beach cart to haul all your stuff to the beach. Michelle has gone out of her way to ensure a great place to stay. As far as the location, it is central to everything- couple blocks to beach, a block to trolley stop, two blocks to little general store. As for restaurants, in the morning we'd walk couple blocks to Ginny&Jane's neat funky bakery/cafe, mid-day at the Sandbar restaurant where you can have your toes in the sand eating lunch is only a couple blocks away, and then a few more blocks away but still walkable is the little downtown area of Anna Maria with a few more restaurants. The absolute best fish we had was fresh caught red grouper and red snapper from Captain Anthony's who has a little screened in place right off the road before the Sandbar restaurant. He fishes in the morning and then sells it in tbe afternoon. He cuts & fillets the amount of fish that you want in front of you & then gives suggestions on cooking it. Delish! Another note is that Michelle is terrific to work with. She was the very first one to reply to the queries I sent when we first started checking. She was also faster than a speeding bullet in responding to any of my emails. We truly enjoyed a lovely week of carefree days spent at the beach and family time together in the evenings in this charming cozy comfy beach cottage."

  • Very pleasant vacation.

"This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island. We will definitely be back! The condo was very convenient to everything. We did a lot of bike riding and we even saw the wild peacocks. The owners were very friendly and cooperative to work with."

  • Great condo, excellent accommodations!

"Mike Bartone has provided a fantastic place to relax and unwind on Anna Maria Island. Runaway Bay is convenient -- the island-wide trolley stops right out in front! A lovely screened porch is part of the charm that overlooks a pond with a fountain. It was nice to be near the pool and we really enjoyed the tennis courts. We fished from the pier and shared it with a heron, crane and egret, all apparently waiting for treats from us. The unit is neatly maintained, stylish and very comfortable and completely furnished with anything you might need during your stay, including an assortment of cooking spices in the pantry and cozy robes in the master bedroom walk-in closet. It was helpful to have a quiet, full-sized washer and dryer along with an iron and board. We dined in a few times and even threw some steaks on the grill which is right out the front door. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans, and any and all utensils you might need. If you don't want to cook while vacationing, know that Anna Maria Island is jam-packed with amazing restaurants. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone considering a visit to the island! It was a pleasure to deal with Mike; we appreciate his top-notch customer service."
