"When we started looking for a place on AMI, I went through the VRBO site numerous times. I just kept going back to Shady Palms and when I talked to Cindy, I definitely made my mind up. She said this house and an aura about it that draws you in. She was not kidding!! This place was perfect. It's very spacious and beautifully decorated. The shady backyard was the greatest with it's palm and pine trees. The beach is right there and you can watch the gorgeous sunsets every night from yard or beach. It's close walking distance to shops and restaurants. We loved this place so much, we are definitely coming back next October. Can't wait!!!"

  • Fantastic beach vacation

"We stayed at Mermaid's cove (6 adults, 3 children) in early May 2015 and had an absolute great time. Laura did a great job providing customized recommendations on what to do, where to eat, how to navigate the island and much more. The house is super clean inside and the pool was fantastic. Laura made sure that there was a child booster seat and pack-and-play crib for our 8 month old and my 3 and 5 year old girls loved the pink room with the toys in the closet. The neighbors house/duplex was occupied for about half our trip by the owner and his sons, and they were very friendly and inviting as well. The house was an easy 2 block walk to the beach and there was a wagon/cart to help lug chairs, umbrellas, etc back and forth. The house came with plenty of beach toys, 2 beach umbrellas, about 6-7 chairs and some odds and ends (floaties, frisbees, etc) that was really nice. Also, in the kitchen, there were leftover spices, condiments, some coffee filters and many of the things that are annoying to have to buy on vacation only to use them 2-3 times and throw out, so whether that was the previous travelers or Laura that provided them, it was really nice. There's also plenty of board games, a Nintendo Gamecube with 8-10 sports games, and some DVD movies to watch. My girls watched Anastasia about 10 times during the trip. Lastly, on e of the nicest things is that there is an electronic keypad on the door, so you dont need to mess with picking up and dropping off keys at an agency or a lockbox or anything. You show up and get in and leave when you check out. Laura sends the code a week ahead of time and it worked out great. I cant imaging why more owners dont have this installed. Nice job! Overall it was fantastic and next time we come to Anna Maria Island, we'll be back in touch with Laura to rent again."

  • Relax, Recharge and Return !

"The accomodations were very comfortable. The bedroom my wife and I stayed in had its own small deck. The furnishings were exceptional as described, open kitchen/dining area with beautiful countertop. Beach access very quick and easy. No traffic on this quiet street corner. Don't miss the "Cafe on the Beach" for breakfast and lunch, just a short walk on the beach. Would definitely stay again when we have the opportunity."

  • Wonderful

"Seven of us including 3 teenagers spent a week in Costa Lotta visiting other family who live in Bradenton. We ranged in age from 69 to 2 years and never once felt crowded or lacked entertainment with so much to do on multiple floors and outside in pool and patio. The amenities are all that anyone could ask for and more. Especially appreciated ensuite bath in each bedroom in addition to half baths on main and pool floor as well as purified water system, two refrigerators, large pantry, TVs everywhere, GOLF CART, beach toys/chairs, etc. Too much to list. And not to forget the best location on AMI. We stayed during spring break and never felt crowded. Restaurants were busy, of course. Best restaurants we visited were Dry Dock in Longboat Key, Hurricane Hank's, Rod and Reel Pier. I have rented beach houses for 40+ years and have never stayed in one this complete. Enjoy!"
