  • Relaxing Get Away

"We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights and the place was even better than advertised. The condo was very clean and perfect for our needs. The view is spectacular from the balcony and the beach was beautiful. For a relaxing get away we could not of asked for anything better and have already recommended it to our friends when we returned back home."

  • Excellent, Quiet Escape

"The condo was perfect old Florida, but very comfortable. Simple building, well kept, only two floors and right on the beach. You listen to the surf every day and all night. The bed was soft and the leather couches were a dream to fall asleep for an afternoon nap. The beach and water were incredible. Very clean and uncrowded, water was clear and bathtub warm. A great spot to setup for families or couples or just to recharge your batteries. We saw dolphin's and manatees every day! Just4Fun rentals brought any extra beach toys you needed, right to the condo, almost like you brought your own gear."

  • Awesome Home

"We heard about this rental from my parents, who are regular snowbirds, and know the island well. This house is amazing! The owners were quick to answer our questions, the home was clean, beds were comfortable and the pool....incredible. Our group consisted of 6 adults, 2 teenagers, and 4 kids that ranged from ages 8 to 2 yrs of age and we had enough room for more, if needed! Everyone had so much fun; our days were easy and quickly turned into a routine with the kids. Start with a walk to the local donut shop, then then it was off to the beach, several beach toys in the garage. Once at the beach, no worries if you forgot something, the house is so close, just steps away. Lunch in the big kitchen and then hanging out at the pool until dinner. Gas grill available and restaurants (and gift shops) are within walking distance. Evenings ended watching the sunset (2yr old included) off to the ice cream shop. We rented a boat one day, fishing everyday and paddle boarding for three days. While paddle boarding, we had a once in a lifetime encounter with 2 manatees, something none of us will ever forget. I hope to rent this house again. The owners were wonderful & the cleaning crew were very friendly showing us around the house. The house has a condo attached, which we didn't rent because we didn't need the extra room. We didn't realize the condo would get rented so we were surprises at sharing the backyard & pool with the family that rented the condo. They also seemed surprised. It wasn't a problem and we learned each other's routine to give space for privacy. Next time, I will rent both. Again, we loved this place and hope to come back! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home, fond memories were made."

  • Wonderful home!

"This is a beautiful home and accomodated our party of 10 (1 baby, 4 kids 6-9 yrs, 4 adults and 1 grandparent) perfectly. The availabilty of a high chair and pack 'n play was great, the kids LOVED the pool (BTW it's a salt water hybrid, so tastes salty) and were in it constantly, if we weren't at the beach which is roughly a 500 yd walk from the home. There was one "busy" residential street but otherwise a quiet/easy walk. Very appreciative for the beach wagon which was just right to get all the gear to the beach with us. Some items to note: the W/D and DW are HE, which we were not familiar with so it was a little frustrating until we figured them out. The house was on the market, which we were not aware of, and we had two realtors in two days knocking on the door asking to show the house. The kids room is awesome with the 4 bunk bends and even has a flat screen TV, but there is also an exterior door and there is no child-safe lock, so if your young ones are curious and tall enough to get to the single deadbolt they could let themselves out. The outdoor equipment could use some attention - there are two bikes with ride-behinds neither of which tires would hold air, the beach umbrellas are functional but might not be for much longer and some boogie boards were broken (so I'm told, I didn't use them :-). I brought these concerns and some other feedback to Emma/the owner's attention and she seemed receptive, so maybe corrective action has been taken. Anna Maria is a lovely area and we plan on returning soon."

Known as "an island in the sun," Anna Maria provides a cozy, laid-back, welcoming vibe that's synonymous with island living. This Florida location boasts miles of beaches, award-winning restaurants, amazing art and culture, and friendly locals who won't mind providing directions or chatting about their home town. Take part in a variety of water? sports or simply lounge near the water as you listen to the waves lap the shore.

If you're looking for a vacation that lets you get away from it all and spend some quality time with family, friends and loved ones on the water, Anna Maria Island is calling your name.

Things to Do on Anna Maria Island

- Hit the beach: Anna Maria Island provides you with amazing opportunities to enjoy seaside fun at places like Manatee Public Beach, Coquina Beach, Whitney Beach and Treasure Island Beach, to name a few. Warm, sandy shores greet and invite you to lay out a beach towel. Settle in with a good book - after you protect your skin with some sunscreen, of course - or grab those buckets and build a sandcastle. If you're in the mood for some friendly competition, toss a Frisbee or race down to the water to see who can swim the fastest. If you're needing a little exercise, grab your gym shoes and hit the beach for a challenging run in the sand.

- Ride the free trolley: Anna Maria Island offers a trolley that runs through the entire length of the island - and the best part? It's free to ride! This makes traveling around a breeze, but also provides you an opportunity to see all that the island has to offer. When you first arrive, hop on the trolley and scout out what restaurants, shops and other attractions look like something you'll want to visit. Don't forget to take in the scenery. As you cruise around on the trolley, you'll be treated to amazing views of the island's natural beauty as well as the beaches and the sparkling water surrounding you. The trolleys are air-conditioned so you can take a break from the warm temperatures, and they run from 6 a.m. through 10:30 p.m., appearing about every 20 minutes.

- Anna Maria Island Historical Society: What's better than learning about the history and culture of the place you're visiting? Doing it for free! Head to the Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum to find about about the area's history, such as who settled there, characters throughout time and the original city jail. You can also take a tour of the cottage that sat on City Pier, and kids can take part in a scavenger hunt.

- ARTSPACE Anna Maria: Artists and art lovers will appreciate a trip to ARTSPACE Anna Maria. This local gallery space allows artists from the island to display new, fresh pieces in a variety of different mediums. Several times a year the gallery also hosts an ARTSPACE Challenge, receiving entries from all around the country. During your trip the Anna Maria Island, be sure to stop by ARTSPACE to discover the amazing works that local artists are creating.

- Body and Sol Spa and Wellness: A relaxing island getaway isn't complete without a trip to the spa! Book a treatment or two (or a whole day) at Body and Sol Spa and Wellness to really let go of tension and pamper yourself. Try a variety of massages like therapeutic, stone, deep tissue, tension tamer and more to sooth sore, achy muscles and treat your body to something nice. You can also liven up your face with a rejuvenating facial, brighten up your fingers and toes with a manicure and pedicure, and stretch and strengthen your whole body with a yoga class.

Dining on Anna Maria Island

- Feeling Swell: If you're in the mood for a casual beach dining experience, heading to Feeling Swell, which you're sure to be after a meal here. On the menu you'll find tasty appetizers and entrees like conch fritters, gator bites, crab cakes, mahi mahi, grouper, burgers, salads and more. If you're furry friend is along for the trip, dine outside on the pet-friendly patio where you can share a meal with your pooch, then head around the block to work it off with a run on the beach. Feeling Swell often has entertainment as well, so it'll prove to be a lively experience.

- Sandbar: Another excellent, slightly more upscale option for beachside dining is Sandbar. You'll find delicious seafood like calamari, mussels, shrimp and sandwiches as you watch the sunset over the water. If you've got a sweet tooth, don't pass up the key lime pie or cheesecake! This award-winning eatery is sure to please, no matter what you're in the mood for.
