Two Thumbs Up!
"We just returned from Bob and Elaine's home in Cape Coral, and the only sad part about the whole vacation was putting the keys back in the lock box. This truly was our home away from home. Very well laid out home that gave us some separation from our kids, IF and when we were inside. All four of us commented on how well we were able to sleep in the beds. The kitchen was beyond well stocked. This home literally has everything you need. But the best part was the pool area. Other than our trip to the Everglades and the need for more groceries, we never left the lanai. My wife and I spent every morning there with our books and coffee. And when the kids woke up, we still just lounged and swam. Such a good, relaxing vacation. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up from us."

"Our family of five plus pooch stayed at Villa Floyd for a week at the end of May. We were very comfortable at the house during our vacation. The house was very clean and comfortable. It didn't smell like animals had stayed there previously.
We had everything we needed during our stay. The house was very roomy. Beds were comfortable.
Rich Floyd was very helpful when we spoke to him with questions, or he had a huge book with great information on how things work, etc.
The neighborhood was very safe. We took our dog out late nights without feeling unsafe.
Our family really thought the pool was awesome. We spent most days in the pool or on the boat and then ate dinner out most nights. The jacuzzi was kind of a pain because we had to heat it and that took a whole day and we were afraid we would hit our electricity quota and didn't want to leave it on due to that, so we got to only enjoy that one night. It would've been nice to enjoy it nightly, but it's okay. We enjoyed it the one night we used it.
We opted to rent the boat with our stay. We went fishing daily and saw manatees. We don't have much fishing luck, but even WE caught a few each day. Captain Ron was helpful with our boating needs.
There is so much to choose from in the area to see, so, and eat. We took a drive to the beach. We ate out at cool restaurants.
We had a nice relaxing vacation at Villa Floyd and if we decide to come back to Cape Coral we look forward to staying here again."

"Our holiday was all that we had hoped for and extremely relaxing. As others have said Yilin was very responsive and Kadi (next door) was very helpful and friendly on the few occasions that we needed her. We are from the UK and are used to renting houses in the UK. We have stayed in hotels and apartments in Florida before but this was the first time that we had used Homeaway and rented a house. We were worried about the process but we need not have been. Everything went to plan and the house was easy to find.
Our first impression was 'wow'; it was what we expected and more. We got used to the house very quickly and the the lovely pool. There is a lot of attention to detail with such things as hand soap, and shower gel and shampoo in the bathrooms. And lots of kitchen equipment.
We did have some problems but we still rate the property 5 stars as overall it was so good. We couldn't use the pool for a couple of days because it went green. Kadi contacted the pool people and they were very prompt. It meant that we did our shopping for bargains on a different day than originally planned. So not a huge problem. We did manage to buy lots of cheap (for us English) shoes and clothing to bring home. Also near the end one of the air conditioning units stopped working. I wish that I had asked for help from Kadi sooner as it was only a fuse that had tripped.
We English are used to lower temperatures and so the air-con was on a lower setting than advised at night. This meant that we had charges for extra electricity taken from our security deposit. Slightly irritating but not unexpected. The other irritating factor was bank charges taken from our security deposit; but unavoidable for visitors from overseas. Having said that we had received the balance in our bank account within a week.
My wife liked the portable iron but didn't like the fixed ironing board in the small room with the washer. Especially as that room didn't have air-con. A suggestion would be to have a normal ironing board available.
Our only other comment of note is that the pool deck is uneven and some of the tiles wobbly when walking on them. We did however spend most of our time in the pool or on the pool deck.
My teenage boys also very much appreciated the internet which they could not have coped without!
Lastly one of the best things was sitting on the pool deck looking at the magnificent sunsets, and watching the lightning shows.

"We stayed at Bayside 8/8-8/15 and it was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The boat was so much fun. We took it out every day. Went to Sanibel and Captiva Islands and boated to many restaurants. The house was super clean and comfortable. We loved hanging by the beautiful pool overlooking the canal and it was great to come back to our own wonderful space. We will definitely be back."
