  • Great escape

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in this spacious, beautifully appointed two bedroom condo. It is located in a quiet community very close to the pool and tennis courts. We had everything we could want in the condo for cooking and relaxing. And, there were bikes, beach chairs and a grill available for the outdoors. We used all the facilities of pelican landing and would definitely stay here again."

  • Perfect!

"My wife and I, along with our 12 and 14 year old kids, wanted to explore south Florida. We selected this home in Hunters Ridge for the amenities of the house and the community (you can golf, play tennis, swim, bike, dine and relax without ever leaving Hunters Ridge) as well as the proximity to the best of south Florida. We explored area beaches, ( Barefoot Beach was our favorite with Gopher Tortoises rambling through the dunes), dined in downtown Naples, rode bikes and airboats through the Everglades, ( Bike Shark Valley Trail, an easy loop into the heart of the Everglades, and see gators, turtles and birds) and combed the beach at Sanibel Island. Hint: a mask and snorkel will help you find shells that are still in the water. Here is another hint. Florida in the Summer. Everything is more affordable and less crowded. We were able to be more spontaneous with dining and activities, never needing reservations for anything. Yes, it can be hot. Ocean breezes and water sports fix that, and the prospect of no crowds make the heat a worthwhile trade off. My expectations were exceeded. The house is well designed for gathering and privacy. The master bedroom and large, screened patio (lanai) look over the golf course and are surrounded by lush and well maintained plantings. The house is well stocked with everything you could want. The quality of the house and the furnishings are beyond what we have found in other rentals. We felt like guests in a very lovely home."

  • Great Family Vacation - Would Recommend

"This was the getaway my wife, daughter, and I were looking for! With this condo we got everything we expected and more. When we first arrived we picked up our keys at Sanibel Holiday, the property management company, and they were very welcoming. They told us all they details about our accommodations and gave us a packet full of useful information, tips, and things to do on the island. We were impressed by their service when we called about a clogged shower drain. It was no big deal and they came right out and fixed the clog in no time while we were out enjoying the beach. Most of the other condos at this complex are timeshares and their property management is taken care of on-site at the shell island front office. Despite this VRBO condo using a different property management company off-site, the front office treated us just the same and helped us with dinner options, pool towels, and getting our bikes setup. They even provide helmets and have bikes with child seats which was a blast. We rented a crib and high-chair from an island company but we found out that the office at shell island has them for rent for a nominal fee. The pool and hot tub area seemed recently updated and was awesome! The views from the balcony are amazing over looking the pool, beach, and gulf. The only downside to the amazing view are the stairs going up to the condo could be a lot for someone who can not handle stairs well. The beach out front was amazing for shelling. We always went during low tide and found many great vacant shells and many live creatures that were fun to look at including dozens of live sand dollars, many starfish, crabs, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, conch shells, and dolphins just beyond the last sand bar. Our favorite restaurant was Cip's Place which has a good happy hour, the best service we encountered, and hasnice outdoor seating. One word of caution for those of you that like to be connected, the Wifi works but was slow."

Cape Coral Travel Tips

Find Your Quiet Florida Getaway in Cape Coral Vacation Homes

Cape Coral, Florida is not only the largest city in the southwestern portion of this popular vacation state. It offers over 400 miles of waterways that the local population and those staying in Cape Coral vacation homes are able to navigate and explore.

Stay in Cape Coral Vacation Homes for Laid-back Retreats

Cape Coral condos are ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway from the normal hustle and bustle of your traditional tourist hot-spot. Since the local community is largely made up of retirees and transplanted young families, Cape Coral resorts will place you in the middle of a beachfront oasis without the atmosphere of a rowdy college party nearby.

Day Trips from Cape Coral Condos

The city of Cape Coral is connected to Fort Myers, another popular local destination, by two bridges. A simple drive or even cab ride will place you in the middle of a different town full of local merchants and beachfronts, offering a relaxing day near Cape Coral vacation homes.

Many Cape Coral condos will also be located near merchants who rent kayaks, rollerblades and even fishing equipment for family adventures. Consider the activities your family will most likely enjoy before booking your rooms at Cape Coral resorts.

Cape Coral Resorts Offer a Taste of Local Flair

Staying in Cape Coral vacation homes gives you easy access to local businesses, restaurants, shopping and even annual festivals and parades. Grab a local paper after arriving at your Florida condos in Cape Coral, and see which local events your family might enjoy taking part in.

Research local tours, historical sights and even museums and galleries to find the attractions you’ll place on your must-see list. Also, consider that Cape Coral resorts have plenty to offer the romantic couple searching for a quick weekend getaway to reconnect away from the family too.
