"Great property, comfortable and quaint. My family of 5, with 3 boys 7, 9, and 12 thoroughly enjoyed the house and Captiva and surroundings. We stayed on the 1st floor and did it was perfect for us... if you have a larger family or extended family the upstairs seems terrific as well. It's a convenient short walk to Muddy Duck and other Andy Rosse establishments. The kitchen is well equipped, we utilized the backyard grill for several meals, walked over to the Bubble Room and RC Otters for lunches, and had marina facilities a few houses down at McCarthy's. A great value, a beautiful house. Thanks Tom!"

"We always judge how good our vacation is by how fast we can convert from high-stress working mode to relaxed vacation mode. As soon as we walked into this condo and saw the views our blood pressure instantly went down and we started to relax. The condo is as good if not better than the pictures depict. The kitchen is fully loaded, the downstairs closet has all your beach needs (chairs, umbrellas, towels, pool toys, etc), and the condo itself is clean and well maintained. I would wake up early every morning to watch the sunrise on the pool deck and then every evening we would walk the 3-4 blocks to the other side of the island to watch the sunset and enjoy the party (appropriate for families with young children) by Mucky Ducks. We also loved being able to walk to many of the activities and restaurants around the island and not always have to get in the car.
The island itself is beautiful and if you want to be a beach bum this is the place to go. My only advice is before you pay the $6 toll to cross the bridge from Fort Myers to Sanibel/Captiva, go to a grocery store (I think there is a Publix on every corner from the airport to the bridge) and stock up on food and beverages. Grocery prices will give you some sticker shock if you buy everything on the island. The Island Store does have a great selection but you will pay 2-4x more for the convenience of shopping in your bathing suits & flip-flops.
Back to the condo.... I am a total beach person but my kids do prefer the pool. I felt like I had the best of both worlds at this condo. The kids could play in the pool while I sat and watched them, the water & dolphins playing in the background all at the same time. This was one of our best vacations in a long time. Thank you Cindy & John!"

"My wife and I gave our four children, three in-laws, and five grandchildren a week on Captiva with us for the week after Christmas. We had a great time, and the Dolphin Cove home worked exceptionally well for us. We found we could get a day pass to the beach and pool at 'Tween Waters for a reasonable price, so we had all of the advantages of a great resort with the privacy and reduced food costs of a private home. The home itself is in a great location, very private, and the enclosed pool adjacent to the living room was great. There are six (NOT seven) bedrooms, so we had plenty of room for everyone. We rented a boat for a day, so the dock was very useful. The wildlife viewing was great -- dolphins, ospreys, even a bobcat! The kitchen is very functional and we saved a fortune (and reduced stress by not having to wrangle small children in restaurants) by cooking most of our meals in. Upsides: Captiva is a great place, very relaxing, with wonderful beaches as well as pleasant shopping, restaurants, and wildlife refuges close at hand. Downsides: a lot of deferred maintenance on the exterior of the house, and light switches and exterior lights that did not function."

"My wedding at Bali Hi was just amazing, everything was perfect. I have to thank everyone at Bali Hi for their super hospitality. Anything we needed the property manager, the caretaker and even the owner were present to make my day a fairy tale wedding. Bali Hi Resort is ideal for a wedding the way the property is laid out, there is so much potential. The main house and guest house accommodates the families and wedding party. The master suite is huge with a view of the gulf. It also serves as a place for the bridal party to get ready. The guest house is perfect for the groomsmen to get ready. The kitchen is spacious enough for the caterer to prepare all the food. My ceremony was held on the secluded beach, just a short distance from the house. There is a deck that surrounds the house and a very large pool area that I utilized for cocktails after the ceremony. I had a buffet dinner out in the lush, secluded open sky backyard area which has its own edison lighting and there is a special gazebo area perfect for a DJ or a band with electric in place. The caretaker was even available to make a tiki hut for us for our bar. It was a perfect wedding. We plan on returning to Bali Hi next year for our anniversary!!
Thankyou Bali Hi"
