  • Too good to be true!

"We had a wonderful week at this house in Captiva! Thank you! We loved the house, the location, the area, etc. We would definitely like to spend more time at the Gingerbread House in the future. It's tempting to try to book time for next and upcoming years right now! Quick walk to the beach, endless walks in either direction, quiet street with town nearby. House has beautiful woodwork, good-sized rooms, high ceilings, house length screened in porch, and beautiful private lot. There is so much that made this house part of a dream vacation!"

  • Wonderful vacation!!

"We just returned from an amazing vacation in Captiva, yesterday! Steve's home is absolutely beautiful. Our family loved everything about the area! We rented bikes and toured the island! The manatees down at the marina pier were so much fun for the family to watch, just a short bike ride from the house! Down town, the stores, ice cream shop, and restaurants were great!(also just a bike ride away) My husband and I walked the beach everyday and saw dolphines, schools of fish swim by, shells by the handful!! The beach is now one of my favorites! Clean and quiet!! I snorkeled right off of the beach with the fish:) My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at the Mucky Duck! If you enjoy a good walk...we actually walked down and back! The family also enjoyed dinner outside with great music at R.C. Otters! Tuesdays and Thursdays there is a gentleman that sells fresh seafood down at the general store if you'd rather cook in than going out. We cooked out on the grill by the pool several times. The pool was my 8 year olds favorite:) The library and a drive through the nature preserve on Sanibel was also fun for everyone! We all look forward to staying at Steve's again!! Thanks Steve:)"

  • Loved it.

"Loved the view and proximity to the beach. Best captiva Restaurants within walking distance. Pool was heated and comfortable. Condo was comfortable. Beds were great. Agree with others that living room and bathrooms were a little dated, but were fine. Condo was very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Elevator was a lifesaver to get a superior gulf view. My 70 year old in law with a walker had no issues walking the property and getting to the beach."
