"My husband and I decided that instead of staying for a week in Florida in a hotel on the beach, which we knew was rather expensive, we would try to find a house that was right on the beach. He found VRBO via google, and I was kind of worried at first. Did I worry for nothing?! Absolutely so! I have never been this far south in Florida before, and my stay was amazing. I had an It Works event in Bradenton on Friday July 24th, and it took us less than an hour drive to get there. The house was in absolutely pristine condition. There was nothing that I would have changed. Since we still co-sleep with our daughter, we stayed in the "bedroom 1" which is the one with the King Size bed and overlooks the ocean. Waking up with the view of the ocean in the morning was amazing! I think the only thing that could have been better was possibly waking up to the sunrise over the water, but at least we got to see the sunset every night! I honestly wasn't inside much, unless I was taking a shower, or sleeping, or cooking, because there was always a cool breeze and I just couldn't bring myself to roam away from that view & the sounds of the waves breaking! We found so many beautiful seashells and sharks teeth. We saw Dolphins playing in the water one morning, and even a fin of some kind while we were walking the beach at night. My husband wasn't sure if it was a whale or shark, but it was amazing! We got to witness sea turtles hatching and finding their way to the water. It was honestly less than the length of a football field to get to the beach. My husband loved being able to go fishing in the ocean (on that note - 3 Day license for out of state fishermen isn't expensive!) I loved that there were outdoor showers, so you didn't have to constantly sweep sand off the floor. We didn't get the pleasure of meeting the owner, Linda, but I can tell she's wonderful by the telephone communication we had with her! The only thing you need to get while you are there is food. The kitchen is stocked with all the drinking and cooking utensils you might need! There was a plethora of goodies in the garage as well, "snow shovels" to find sharks teeth with, boogie boards for youngsters, life jackets, and so much more!
My husband and I have decided that we will most definitely be back to this house! It's amazing. Living on a lake is awesome, but living on the beach, even if only for a week, was spectacular!
We were welcomed by a bottle of delicious wine, divine chocolates & a lovely card"
