  • Convenient, Clean, Renovated, Owner Easy to Work With

"This house is great for family use on a Vanderbilt Beach vacation. Home is clean and newly renovated. The owner Pam is very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to all inquiries and concerns. Location is just a short bike ride from public beach access (2 adult beach cruisers / 1 child's bike provided and there is also a bike rental shop 2 miles down the road). The neighborhood is more blue collar /working class in comparison to other areas of Vanderbilt Beach, but the home is nicely landscaped for privacy and the street is very quiet and safe. The pool and kitchen are perfect areas for family entertaining and hanging out. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and there are lots of pool toys to keep people of all ages entertained. We will definitely be recommending this house for family and friends."

  • Perfect setting to enjoy the Island!!

"Our family was looking for a place where we could come together and share the holiday's, and for some, the first time on a Florida beach. This place was perfect!! There were 6 of us (adults), so the condo was the perfect size, giving us plenty of room to rest and play. The location was amazing for viewing the beach, walking and shelling the beach, paddle boarding the gulf shore, as well as location to dining, shopping, grocery, and enjoying all the sights on the island. It was football bowl season, so we loved being able to enjoy the flat screen TVs for watching our favorite teams (Go Hogs!), and then heading to the sand and surf for other hours on end. Royal Shell staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making the processes for checking in and out, quick and easy. We were provided with all we needed when we arrived, as far as linens, towels, paper goods, kitchen staples and clean dishes/wares, and beach chairs. (Thanks for the Keurig coffee maker...we were hoping you would have one, as well as the blender :-) Also, thank goodness for the in-house washer/dryer that we made good use of from our comings and goings to the beach. The condo was located in a very quiet location of the property. We were thankful for there being stairs close by, but even more, an elevator that helped those of us who needed to sometimes ride. Being a corner condo, we loved the wrap-around lanai, all the seating and dining available out there. (We did have an issue with the sliding glass doors going out onto the lanai, but reported it to maintenance, they sent someone out immediately, and even though they were unable to fix it right then, we made do just fine.) The inside living area was very clean, pleasantly decorated, and furnished in a way that was comfortable for all of us, with chairs, tables, comfortable beds. The bathrooms/shower/ tubs were also very very clean. A couple of us have been coming to Sanibel for close to 25 years. This year, we wanted to share this beautiful island with family whom had never been before. This condo was perfect for doing that. We enjoyed each other and island life for a short time, but now have great memories to cherish. Given more chances to come back in the future, we will most definitely want to stay here again. All we needed other than what was provided for us at this wonderful beach home........ was a little more time!"

  • Perfect location to enjoy Sanibel/Captiva.

"My wife and I stayed in this spacious condo for an extended weekend and were not at all disappointed! For the same price (or less) as most hotels on the island, we had two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. It was also cleaner than many hotels we've stayed in, which is always appreciated, and the A/C was on, so it was nice and cool when we arrived. This being our first trip to Sanibel/Captiva, I wasn't entirely sure where the best place to stay might be. The islands aren't very big, but the low speed limits make travel time a little longer than one might expect. This location was PERFECT. We visited multiple beaches at all points along both islands during our stay, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with the beach in front of the complex, which we enjoyed the afternoon of our arrival. I would only say that this might not be an ideal location for someone with mobility problems (third floor walk-up, as stated clearly in the listing), but the assigned parking space is conveniently located immediately next to the staircase. Perhaps most importantly when renting through VRBO or any other site is the owner. I'm happy to report that Kathy was fantastic to deal with. Although we never met personally (the key was waiting for us in a lock box), she was very responsive, very friendly, and very accommodating. We usually prefer to rent like this rather than stay in a hotel if we'll be someplace for more than a couple of days, and she was a standout among owners we've met. If we ever return to Sanibel/Captiva, I would certainly stay here again before considering any other location."

  • What a wonderful place !

"We had a great stay in D-47 ! The view from the roof deck is a great way to start and end each day. The condo was great itself but the complex is just great for families. We love Sanibel and will be back ! Dave and Sandy were more than helpful with any questions we had."

Estero Travel Tips

Friends, Fun, and Estero Vacation Rentals

There's nothing quite like a private party on the beach or trying new exciting things! Estero vacation rentals are the perfect place to stay and enjoy a break from school -- like Spring Break -- with all of your best friends.

In Estero, there are lots of fun things to do. Several malls are within close driving distance, along with spas and the beach. For the adventurous, hiking and exploring, snorkeling and scuba diving are available. If you've never played tennis or golf, this could be a great time to learn or to brush up on your skills. Lying around on the beach sunbathing is also fun, but don't forget your sunscreen! You can hang out in a Jacuzzi or hot tub just to relax. Renting a movie and staying in for the night in the Estero condos might be similar to being at home, but is so much better!

On the beach, you can collect seashells, throw a Frisbee, or whatever other beach activities your heart desires. Sailing and boating are fun ways to enjoy the water without actually jumping in and swimming -- and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore will be the perfect soundtrack to a wonderful day of fun!

Exploring the Local Life

Estero beach rentals are located near historical sites and history buffs can spend many hours exploring the area. Later, you can splurge and eat out on the town in one of the local eateries, or choose to enjoy a home-cooked meal in the comfort of your condo instead. To wind up your wonderful day, you and your friends can go for a drive through the beautiful neighborhoods to see just what makes Estero such a great place to be.
