  • You will come back

"This is our 2nd time staying in Palm grove. It is was better than we remembered. Wonderful home and great location. Todd and Mary are wonderful owners. They really go above and beyond for their guests. The house is well equipped and they even have lots of outdoor and beach equipment. Love the pool and spa and they have it lit up beautiful at night. My husband, 3 doggies and I loved it and will be back."

  • Perfect location!

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was perfect and it was so close to the beach. We also spent some time at the pool. Thank you for all of the instructions and suggestions!! We plan to return to FMB and would most definitely stay here again."

  • Spring Break trip with Friends

"Property was accurately described on the website. Home was very clean, bright and spacious and the housekeeper was easily contactable. We stayed in the house with another family so there were a total of 9 of us , but ideally the house would suit 6-8. We really appreciated being at the quieter end of the island, but it was nice to be able to cycle into Fort Meyers Beach and down to the beautiful Lover's Key State Park. We had friends staying across the street so we had easy beach access - it would have been a little further to walk otherwise. Pool was a great asset and the outside seating area was very comfortable. Traffic was always a bottleneck at the Fort Meyers Beach end, so would recommend coming from the south via the Bonita Springs freeway exit."

  • spring break 2015

"This unit is just off the strip and so close to everything walking is the only transportation one needs and shuts out the beach noise when you want to go to sleep .If you never been here this is in the busiest part of the Island and is quiet loud . We barbequed on the deck twice the week we stayed and feed my kids and their families (total of 13 adults & 4 grandchildren ) The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook its there (some item I've never seen) there is a Publix is three miles down the road and seven eleven at the corner restaurants from sit down to stands are everywhere and most are better than the chain stores This unit is better than any hotel I've ever stayed minus the maid service Unit is on canal and has a boat dock I will recommend this to all my friends great place to spend your vacation. Drawbacks no dish washer & no pool for kids and stairs for the physically challenged shared washer and dryer down stairs I love this place and had no desire to leave the island or the beach with a beautiful park on the north end of the Island away from rental properties and less crowed than the beach across from unit (we walked there I guessing it is over a mile with great views )"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
