  • Our First Condo Rental Experience - Could not of been happier !!!!

"This was our first experience in renting a condo in Ft Myers and we couldn't of been happier with our stay. The condo itself was very clean and well cared for. The condo grounds are beautifully manicured and you can't beat the location for this penthouse unit. The complex is right on the beach so it's a short walk to the sandy beach and if you prefer a dip in the pool the water temp was always inviting. From the patio we were able to watch dolphins swimming, view spectacular sunsets and in the morning we found the patio was an excellent way to start our day as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We can't wait to go back for a more extended stay at this condo. Wisconsin (Go Badgers) !!"

  • Phenomenal Vacation

"This review will sound very repetitive - after reading all of the other reviews the experience we had was exactly as it has been described. The lagoon gave us possibly the most unique vacation experience we have ever had, sitting by the pool watching all of the wildlife. We have never been on vacation where we spent so much time just relaxing on the property. At some point we were visited in the back yard by osprey, heron, egret and ducks and several birds we couldn't identify. Although most reviews mentioned the dolphins, I did not expect to see them every day at all hours - often right beside or under the dock. The 2 kayaks are very convenient and easy to launch from the dock. It really is hard to think of a more relaxing experience. Both bedrooms are well-appointed and very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. We had our 6 year old daughter with us and she loved the pool and the wildlife - and the grounds are beatuful and a safe setup with a fenced area separate from the pool and lagoon area. For people with a dog, there is a very large off-leash dog beach a 5-minute drive away, and the entire Fort Myers Beach is dog friendly if they remain on leash. Tedd lived up to his reputation from the other reviews by responding to any request we had (there wasn't much, the house has everything) happily and within minutes. We ate at many great restaurants, Matanzas at the base of the bridge was our favourite and Charlie's was very convenient being only a few blocks away and had a great salad bar. We had a great time on a kayak tour with Adventures Kayaking which also made us really appreciate the comings and goings of the animals in the lagoon. The location of the house is great, on the quiet end of the island but a short drive or trolley to the restaurants and grocery stores. We got home yesterday and are already planning a longer return trip for next year."

  • Wonderful Easter week vacation

"This house was amazing. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. This was the first time we used vrbo. Helen the owner was great to work with. She responds back with any questions or whatever you need right away. The house had every amenity imaginable. It was great being so close to the beach if you forgot anything or wanted to go home for lunch. The convenience of being so close to downtown is nice to. You can park your car and forget about it for a week. My husband, 13 year old son, and our yorkie all had a great time. We will definitely come back."

  • Great condo

"We stayed at this condo for the month of January, 2015. It is a clean, non smoking condo. Very nicely decorated and updated. Bay Village is a wonderful place to stay. The location is part of why we wanted to stay at this condo. You are just across the street from the beach but a water view from your back lanai. Very peaceful and quiet. Very nice heated pool. Restaurants, tiki bar, and Santini Plaza are within walking distance."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
