  • Vacation Therapy from a wonderful place

"We had one of our best mini vacations ever and I'll try to explain why this condo helped make that happen. First of all the owners are extremely accommodating and good at communicating, so even before we left for their place we felt positive about it. Secondly the views were not only breathtaking (sunset was fabulous) but the balcony therapy for dinner and dolphin watching was relaxing, enjoyable, and the first thing I did every morning with my cup of coffee. Two large patio doors, one in the bedroom and one in the living room opened us up to Florida in a way that engaged us with the refreshing outdoors. Thirdly the place was decorated so comfortably that it was easy to forget that we weren't home. We loved it."

  • Excellent Value and Location, large rooms, clean and well stocked.

"Thank you Paul for being a wonderful host! We loved the area so much, we have a pending contract to buy in the area. We had so much fun and really enjoyed your condo. It was larger than I expected. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of dishes etc. We tried most of the restaurants you recommended. I think the highlight was the pontoon boat ride for an afternoon. Favorite restaurants were Doc Fords and SOB. Everything went well!"

  • Great Value

"Great place to stay in Ft Myers Beach. Far enough away from the pier area to be quiet, close enough to take a short trolley ride. Clean and well decorated. Mr. Payne (the owner) even called us during our stay to see how we were doing. Thank you Sir"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
