  • Fun & Sun

"Great place, great beach location. The house was nice and neat when we arrived. We were a small party so the the house was way big. The home has it creeks, but thats the way we like it and every thing works. Also the rate was great considering the location of the home. The waters were to cold to go in, so we did some fishing and reaxing on the beach. It was great. Want to back with the familly this next time."

  • Outstanding Condo

"This is truly the best condo we've rented. It is extremely clean, well appointed and a short walk to the beach. Liv is gracious and accommodating. I can't think of a better place to relax and enjoy our stay at the beach. It has all the comforts of home with a better view from the lanai and warm weather of Florida."

  • Awesome Views

"VRBO description was very accurate and all pictures accurately reflected the condo. The condo was very clean and very well maintained as well as the building itself. Condo owner was very helpful in making our visit a positive experience. Caretaking/Maintenance certainly take pride in their job and the building looks like it. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is also very well maintained. The private balcony was outstanding with the best view anybody could ask for. In the two weeks that we were there we saw Dolphins everyday morning and evenings, it was a beautiful site. I would definitely recommend this condo and as well I hope to make it back one day. we went to the Sandbar twice and it was very good. I would recommend the Naples Zoo, very well priced and Zoo Keepers do animal feelings so you get a better show of the animals."

  • Great location and beautiful views!

"We loved our stay in this condo! We stayed here with our two children, ages 4 and 7. The pictures are true to the unit and amenities. The unit is very clean and decorated to enhance the beach feel. Being a penthouse unit, there are great views of the bay and the Gulf in the distance. Otherwise, beautiful palm trees and flowers, a canal just below where we saw manatees swimming. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai, there are games and nice tv's if you need a break inside. A beautiful group of condos between Estero Blvd and the bay, so it was a nice walk along a sidewalk to the beach or back to the tennis courts and fishing pier on the bay. The location is perfect...away from the spring break crowd but still close to restaurants, grocery store, etc. We enjoyed a long walk or short drive to the nearby plaza where there were good restaurants and ice cream. Our favorite was the Fish House restaurant behind the plaza by Fish Tale Marina. We also enjoyed the short drive over the bridge south to Lovers Key State Park. A beautiful park and beach! It was also great to have a washer/dryer in the unit. There is a closet full of everything you need for the beach and pool - noodles, sand toys, towels, chairs, and more - with a cart to get it all to the beach. Nancy is great to communicate with as well. We can't wait to go back!"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
