  • Perfect for family, privacy, and proximity to the beach & restaurants & entertainment

"We had a great experience! Our kids had plenty of area to play, swim, etc. Located on a quiet road. Great amenities for little kids (Pack-N-Play, Highchair, Beach toys, etc). Minutes from the beach. Walking distance to many restuarants. The neigborhood was very inviting. Would highly recommend to others."

  • Florida Paradise!

"Just returned to chilly NJ after a wonderful week at the Sandbox house in Ft Myers Beach FL. Went with extended family with kids ages 9 - 12 and their grandparents. The house was just as described, right on the beach, with plenty of space and amazing views from all angles. The location was great, with a 5 min walk to Times Square with lots of restaurants and bars. Every evening we'd enjoy the spectacular sunsets from the deck or on the beach! Weather was perfect with mid 80 days and mid 60's at night. The owners were very accommodating with early check in and late check out due to our flight times. I can't wait to go back next year!"

  • Little Palm and Girl's Weekend go hand in hand!

"Four beautiful friends and I had the pleasure of staying at Little Palm this past weekend. We come from all over the country to get together and this year we chose FMB. Wow were we happy. This home is beautifully decorated, stocked with beach towels galore, and the front yard is the beautiful beach and ocean. The beds were heavenly, the porch was divine, and the view was priceless. Each day the chair/umbrella rental company (located right next door) would set up our "camp" (Mid Island is a great company as well!) And we just enjoyed the peace and quiet all day long. We were sad at sunset. We took the trolley by night out to dinner. The wait was sometimes quite long - but it worked well. Thanks to the owners for sharing your beautiful home! I want to come back tomorrow!"

  • Enjoyed!!

"Very cute home. The beach was not far from the house at all. House was clean and kitchen was nice and neat. The AC is a bit big for the house, so we had to keep it high so it does not get FREEZING! Especially at night. Cute little fire place that has a fake crackling noise that can make naps sooo relaxing."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
