  • Nice large family home

"Large enough for 4 families to co-exist with plenty of room for children and adults. Close to the beach and shopping. A few things needed fixed but nothing that really hampered the vacation."

  • Excellent stay

"I highly recommend this place to families with children or couples. Excellent location and excellent apartment equipped with everything a family needs to feel at home. Beach during the day and pool during the night make you feel in paradise. The owner was very helpful and very detail oriented making sure the guests had everything they needed for their stay."

  • C'est Magnifique!

"We finally arrived home last week after spending five weeks at The Home Away From Home with a French Touch and have already booked a longer stay for next year. It is no exaggeration to say that the whole package is simply magnificent: the unit, the grounds, the pool, the beach, the whole area. The unit is spacious, has a great view of the gardens and pool from the lanai, and is conveniently located close to the stairs and elevator that lead directly down one flight to your car parked in the covered garage below. It is very tastefully decorated, with comfortable furniture and modern electronic devices as well as books, magazines and DVDs for your pleasure. We felt very much at home during our stay and felt reluctant to leave. The grounds are also very spacious, beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Everyone we met at the large pool was very friendly and in full vacation mode. The walk to get to the beach is through a very pleasant sand covered, shaded walkway across the street. The beach is HUGE and clean, with wide open spaces on one side and mangroves on the other, people walking, jogging, walking dogs, riding bikes, fishing, collecting shells and so on. We loved the location, where we could easily drive to Fort Myers or Sanibel Island, visit the shops and beach at Times Square, etc. We also liked the convenient nearby shopping and restaurants, as well as making short visits to shop in Bonita Springs and Naples. We can't wait to get back there next year and renew the friendships that we made!"

  • Exceeds expectations!

"The condo is very accommodating for families of all ages. The space and well appointed kitchen really helps manage all the busy activities. I thought the location was ideal and there was plenty to keep everyone happy and active. Mike the owner, is easy to work with and also accommodating. I most definitely recommend the condo to anyone looking to have a great experience in FT. Myers Beach. I will be planning a return visit myself! Thank you again!"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.
