  • Top notch condo

"Had a wonderful vacation in this apartment. While Smugglers Cove is an older complex, it is very well maintained and has a spectacular location on the best part of the beach. The pool is warm and clean, and there are lots of lounge chairs available at the pool and on the grass by the beach. John, the owner, is very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, even going to the trouble of getting grab bars for the tub when he knew we would have a senior with us. The apartment is nicely renovated and equipped with everything you could want. We found the location perfect for visiting Sanibel, Naples, Everglades etc, and the Publix is just a short walk away. Nothing beats a long walk along the beach at sunset, or eating breakfast on the lanai while watching pelicans fishing and dolphins jumping through the waves. If we come back to Fort Myers Beach again we won't even consider any other apartment. We couldn't do better than this."

  • Beautiful Condo - Very Clean - Well Stocked!

"My wife and I, along with our 2 sons, age 4 and 6, rented the condo for a week before the kids returned to school. It was perfect. Upon arrival, you couldn't help but be impressed by how spotlessly clean it was. It was also nicely furnished and had a beautiful view of the Gulf from the Lanai off the living room. The Master Bedroom also had beautiful views. The condo was one of the best stocked I have stayed in. Not only all the dishes, pots & pans, etc that you'd expect, but a well stocked spice cabinet, and lots of condiments in the fridge. But the best of all, was a huge basket of beach toys for the kids to use - which they loved! Also plenty of beach towels and chairs for the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby and if you'd like to try some other beaches, Lovers Key is only 10 minutes away and is really nice. We also enjoyed some of the beaches on Sanibel Island about 30-40 minutes away. We had a wonderful vacation with the kids and this condo was a great home away from home for us!"

  • A Perfect Week

"Little Palm is utterly charming and very comfortable. Its proximity to the beautiful beach is perfect! I had relatives staying nearby and they were each disappointed with the decor and the lack of basic items provided at their rentals. As other reviewers have written, Little Palm is stocked so completely with necessities, you feel at home the minute you arrive. The owners have gone above and beyond to make staying at Little Palm as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We felt very "taken care of". We had a lovely stay and I would highly recommend this property to anyone who loves beach living!"

  • Another Wonderful Stay

"Another wonderful stay and can't wait until our planned return next year! Pam is a treat to work with and always accessible with answers to any questions. Everything we needed to make the stay most enjoyable. While it is a older home, that's part of the charm. Love the quiet street and because this is our second year, we are enjoying getting to know the residents and fellow return renters in the area. We truly love this little house and look forward to many years of staying."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
