  • Gulf View Paradise

"My wife and I have just visited Fort Myers Beach at the Estero Beach and Tennis Club. The condo we stayed at for the 2nd time is absolutely wonderful. Convenient to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing and for the best view of sunset on the Gulf of Mexico any where on the west coast of Florida. The wildlife is right outside your door including birds, fishing and of course dolphins. The condo has everything you would need for a vacation of a lifetime. We are looking forward to our next visit with Karen and Don."

  • Great vacation condo

"We spent two weeks at Carlos Pointe and thoroughly enjoyed it. The condo is as well equipped as any We have ever rented, from the kitchen through the rest of the unit. Location is fantastic as is the beach, although a little walk to get to the water. Beach is great to walk every morning, lots of shelling (if that's your thing), close to great shopping, restaurants and other amenities. The grounds are impeccable and the pool area is fantastic. Highly recommend this condo and this owner to deal with."

  • Friendtripper

"My friend and her 3 daughters and my daughter and I just finished our third yearly trip to this condo. It is everything the listing describes and more. The ocean view, central location and lovely furnishings makes it the perfect place for us. Although there are many good places to dine nearby, we cook most of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy food, games, and conversation around the round table in the dining area. The owners take good care of this property, and they care about their guests. I would recommend this Castle on the Beach to anyone."

  • Perfect

"This was our second time staying in this unit. We found it exactly how we remembered it from 2 years ago. The owners do a wonderful job keeping the unit clean, comfortable and well equipped. A quick trip to the grocery store and you're set to go. Everything else you will need for the beach or pool is there waiting for you. The view from this condo is amazing!!! Many restaurants, shops and a drug store are within walking distance. We had such a relaxing time here once again. The owners are very helpful and easy to work with. Thank you Rae Ann and John. We will be back very soon."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
