  • Great Location

"My family and I enjoyed a relaxing beach weekend. Beautiful white sand on the beach. A market across the street for supplies. And you can't beat Anna's across the street for great sandwiches."

  • Super holiday.

"We have just spent 2 weeks in this wonderful condo. It is perfectly sized for two people and there is everything you could need. When we arrived, the owner's Mum met us and showed us round, explaining everything. This was a very nice personal touch which we appreciated after a long journey. The unit is spotlessly clean, everything works efficiently but obviously the best thing of all is the fantastic patio with views of the Gulf. Fabulous! We used the excellent pool every day and really enjoyed the tennis courts. Being from Europe we expected to have to reserve our slot (and pay!) for the tennis court but there was none of that. We never saw anyone else playing. Marco Island is quite busy but that means there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. We had some excellent meals and met some friendly people. We will definitely go back."

  • Great time at Sanibel Causeway Resort & condos.

"Spent four nights at this beautiful condo. The accommodations were wonderful. Well equipped kitchen, beautiful view from the screened in balcony and all of the accessories required for a pool and beach vacation. Really loved the pool and the short walk to the Marriott resort and all it has to offer. Easy access to Sanibel and Captiva islands as well as Fort Myers and Cape Coral beaches. Thanks"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
