  • Love it

"The house was in such a perfect location. I loved the views. We had dolphin and manatees swim right up to the dock every morning. The boat channel is right there so we got to see a variety of boats go by. All we caught were catfish off the dock but my daughter loves to fish so that was ok with her. The only suggestion I have is that the kitchen pans and utensils be updated as I love to cook but I know most people do not when on vacation. All in all it was a great place to stay and we had a great time."

  • FANTASTIC

"Perfect mini vacation for my friend and I. We LOVED the location and our home away from home. GORGEOUS beach a VERY short walk away. The cottagehad everything we wanted. Beach chairs, umbrella, well stocked kitchen. Washer dryer. Comfy, home . Karen was great to work with. Very promptly returned emails and super helpful. I recommend the tiki hut at the resort across the street, The Fresh Catch Bistro, Castaways for a fun bar and band and The Cottage.. STAY HERE!!"

  • Amazing views !!!

"Lots of windows and lots of amazing views! You walk right out from your lanai to the beach - no stairs or elevator. The condo was clean and updated (loved the new floors). It was very roomy inside and even though there was only 2 of us, it was nice having 2 bathrooms. All the people there were friendly and welcoming. The beautiful white sand beach was flat and great for walking/jogging.We were so please with everything.Only change that would be nice, would be to put a king size bed in master instead of queen.Other than that, it was a perfect condo and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
