  • Absolutely Awesome place to stay for a vacation

"We have a family of 8, and we stayed there for a full week. I couldn't pry my kids away to go back home. Perfect condition, accommodations, everything works, and literally within a couple hundred feet from the main strip, beachfront and gulf. You are at the center of Ft. Meyers Beach. I can't wait to go back, and neither can my kids. I don't think I'll drive next either, since everything is walking distance. Thank You!!!!!!"

  • Taffy Buoy was awesome!

"We had such a wonderful time staying at Taffy Buoy! The house was immaculate and the pool was fantastic! The amentities provided were more than enough to provide us all the comforts of home and we did feel right at home. The beach was a short walk (less than 3 blocks) and a short distance to Times Square. We often rode the trolley to Times Square, what a fun way to see the area and go shopping! Fort Myers Beach is always lovely, but staying at Taffy Buoy really made our vacation and we are now looking at booking the property for our next vacation. Highly recommended! A special thank you to Kim, Anton and Debbie."

  • Paradise

"This is the 2nd time my husband of 26 years and I have stayed at 134 vacation villas to rekindle our relationship.. Linda, the owner, makes it feel like its our own. It is tastefully decorated and very clean. The King bed is so comfortable and everything is high quality. I wont repeat what other reviews say but add--this is quiet end with the natural park and bay by you on the left and no 40 or so umbrellas put up every morning to block your view. Linda supplies your own beach chairs and towels. Everynight my husband and I would sit in chairs and watch sun set with our cooler(Linda had that too) of refreshments. Please go over to the park and look for the tortoise that are huge and yesterday I also got to see a bald eagle over there.Linda- We thank you for keeping your place at a reasonable price so we could escape to your hide-a-way and doing the extras for us so we could stay as long as possible . All I can say is if u need peace, quiet, no big condos next to you and a gergeous place rent 134 vacation villas from Linda"

  • The best experience

"We stayed at this owner's 2 bedroom-Beachfront Beauty and now tried Island Sunsets I. Another wonderful experience in every way. The views and sunsets were out of this world. The location, with Santini Plaza across the street was ideal. Just stroll over to the restaurant, boat rental and everything you would need in the Plaza. The fully equiped kitchen in the condo and tennis racquets (for the clay tennis courts) were a plus. The condo furnishings and comfort get an A+. Thank you Diane for another fabulous stay."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
