"My husband and I spent a lovely 3 weeks at this condo in BacBay located right across the main thoroughfare from the beautiful, clean, white-sanded beach. A pedestrian crossing makes it quite simple to cross the road. This is a perfect location with a shopping plaza within walking distance and also a lot of great restaurants. There is also a 7-11 and a CVS for convenience shopping. We enjoyed a dolphin watching trip from the Marina, also within walking distance. Also worthy of note, this condo is in the more sedate area of Fort Myers Beach, the north end being a little more "busy". The condo is immaculate and furnished with all amenities that are needed. We would definately like to return to return and hope that there is availability"

  • Awesome vacation with the family!

"My two sons, my daughter in laws, two grandchildren and myself stayed at the Pink House in November. We had an awesome time. We loved how the home was furnished and especially the layout. One side of the home had a bedroom and private bath. The other side had two bedrooms and a bath. The house suited our needs perfectly. Plenty of room for everyone, and even a sofa bed if needed. We loved having the living room and a family room. Plenty of room for everyone! The neighbors were wonderful and helpful too. We spent A LOT of time right outside on the dock. We even saw Dolphins! We bought a few fishing rods, and I believe we left them in the garage. Anything you could think of was included in this home. We especially liked having use of the beach cart to take items to the beach. Even though it was the coldest week in history, it was still warmer than being in the northeast, and always found something to do. There was a tram that stopped right in front of the house to take you into the center of town. Lots of shops and restaurants all in close proximity. We have been to Ft. Myers many times before, but always stayed closer to town. Now that we've stayed at the Pink House, we will be coming back to this side of the island. Sooooo peaceful, but close to anything you could need. I would not hesitate to rent from these owners again. Everything was organized and easy! Very nice people!! Thanks, Laurie, for the wonderful week!"

  • Wonderful Week!

"This condo was so clean and the décor was beautiful! It was large enough for 3 adults and two children with room to spare. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from the large, screened lanai and it was a very short walk to the beach. The pool are was very well kept. It was by far the most well stocked condo we have rented. The owners thought of everything including beach towels and toys! We would definitely rent here again next year."

  • Great Views!

"My husband and I enjoyed our weeks stay at this very nice condo. It was quiet and very relaxing! We had our coffee every morning on the balcony and the sunsets were incredible! We enjoyed watching the dolphins and pelicans too. On our walks on the beach we gathered lots of pretty sea shells. The condo was clean and perfect for the 2 of us and was exactly as pictured. (One thing I missed is there is not a dishwasher, so be sure to pick up paper products for easy and quick cleanups after a meal in.) Overall, would highly recommend for a quiet and relaxing vacation."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
