  • Excellent vacation house!

"Everything was as presented and we were quite happy with the house, the furnishings, the pool and jacuzzi. The house is large -- big rooms. Not a typical vacation rental, this is a house that was made for a big family to live in. House was very clean. Furnishings are excellent -- ok, a little heavy for my taste but in excellent condition. We enjoyed the jacuzzi. It was easily heated (unlike many vacation rentals). The pool was clean on arrival. The "man cave" gave us great fun on the foosball table. The beach is an easy walk less than a block. Beautiful beach. Sunset was spectacular. We would certainly recommend this property. It is worth the money. Quiet neighborhood close to a grocery store and a good liquor store. No good restaurants on the island but we recommend the Blue Marlin further down."

  • Location Isn't Everything

"Besides the location (walk to beach, bay, shops, dining, activities), the house was in great shape. It was clean, spacious, well appointed, off street parking and felt like home away from home. We've been coming to Bradenton for years and would absolutely consider another stay."

  • Paradise

"Wow is all I can say! We loved the unit and what an amazing experience. Suck an amazing vacation and such a beautiful place. The unit is amazing with awesome side ocean views. The owners stock the unit well with beach stuff, stuff to help keep unit clean, they even have a little office setup in master bedroom for any business people. So well maintained so clean. Everything is decorated beautifully. The beach area is amazing and pool is awesome. We loved cooking on the outdoor grills by pool area. Unit was do clean I felt like I was at home. Only low point was someone in built ding complained about too many kids in pool area on 4th of July. I guess they forgot what bring a kid is like!!! The staff at Savoy is so helpful and heart warming. I cannot say how amazing the unit is and experience was ! We will be back next year! Thank you mr. And mrs. Wiethrich!"

  • True advertising!!

"I have to say this is my first time renting via VRBO and I am pleasantly surprised. Everything that Bob had advertised is true. The condo is right on the beach, immaculate and plenty of space. It is great to have views of the ocean from the patio and master BR and bathroom. It is a slice of heaven!!"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
