  • Vacation Therapy from a wonderful place

"We had one of our best mini vacations ever and I'll try to explain why this condo helped make that happen. First of all the owners are extremely accommodating and good at communicating, so even before we left for their place we felt positive about it. Secondly the views were not only breathtaking (sunset was fabulous) but the balcony therapy for dinner and dolphin watching was relaxing, enjoyable, and the first thing I did every morning with my cup of coffee. Two large patio doors, one in the bedroom and one in the living room opened us up to Florida in a way that engaged us with the refreshing outdoors. Thirdly the place was decorated so comfortably that it was easy to forget that we weren't home. We loved it."

  • Best holidays..

"Dear Randy.... we are not sure if it is an good idea to speak about our holidays because we want to come back..may be too many people want to come too.... Ok.. we like to share our impressions....visiting Florida since 25 years we found our 2nd home... You Randy ,was a great host , we felt coming home from the first moment and you welcome us like old friends. Your house is so beautiful, everything we expect we found in this house. Next time we will travel just with handluggage because we need nothing,,,,just a bikini and shorts and some suntan ... We enjoyed every minute and spent a lot of time in your house...We loved to take our first cup of coffee 7am( Rolf later...) on the terrace and also the last glas of wine late in the night. Everything is so clean and prepared so carefully and in every part of this house is full of creative and lovely things. You have a great home, thank you for sharing it and we will come back next year!! And please come to visit us here in Düsseldorf for more "Killepitsch" and Mustard;)) Big hug and see you soon. Rolf and Yvonne"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.

Things to Do in Fort Myers Beach

Lovers Key State Park: Lovers Key is one of four barrier islands that make up the park.
