  • Home Away from Home

"We stayed here for a month, and it was an absolute pleasure. The condo is nicely furnished and the perfect place for relaxing. We loved that there was plenty to see and do nearby without feeling overwhelmed or a lack of privacy, like there might be staying someplace further north on the beach. The owner was very helpful and delightful to deal with as well, and we're very happy with our decision to stay at this condo. It felt like a home away from home for us by the time our trip ended, and we would jump at the chance to visit again in the future."

  • A perfect beach vacation

"My husband, five-year-old son, and I thoroughly enjoyed our spring break week. The views are wonderful, and I loved starting each morning on the lanai with a cup of coffee, looking at the Gulf. This is the quiet end of the island ... perfect for us. The north end of the island was congested and touristy ... not our scene at all. This condo was the antithesis of all that. It was peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect jumping-off spot for trips to Naples and the Everglades. Lovers Key is a wonderful "neighborhood" asset, too. I really can't say enough good things about this condo. Everything was as advertised and more."

  • Great place to stay

"We spent almost 4 weeks here had a great time, condo was clean had every thing we needed. Close by there were bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance, beach access across the road. However we preferred the beach around time square area more to see and things to do. Favourite eating/drinking places Nervous Nellies, close second Flippers at lovers key. Great shopping. Can't wait to return. Chuck, our stay was everything you said it would be."

  • Family Getaway

"We spent a week in this beautiful location at the end of February. We had lovely weather and lots of fun times on the beach. Our 2 1/2 year old Grandson had a fun time making sandcastles on the beach, and dipping his feet in the water. We did bring a kite along and had fun flying that on the beach. The wagons are so nice to haul all of the stuff. It is only a very short walk to the beach. We were able to go on a boat ride in Ft. Myers with some friends who live down there and we had dolphins swimming right behind the boat. We did ride the trolley a few times, but sometimes the traffic getting to the pier was so slow, it was quicker to walk. We enjoyed just sitting in the pool when the 8 month old was taking a nap, or when it was a little cooler out. We found some fun places to eat. We did cook some meals and the 2 full kitchens were really nice to have. The small bedroom was perfect for the little guy. Everything was just perfect! Thanks for a great time and lots of wonderful memories."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
