  • Great Condo Steps from Beach

"My family and I really enjoyed this condo. It was very clean and tidy upon arrival and we were immediately impressed. Probably one of the nicest and cleanest places we've ever stayed and it was right on the beach. Owners were very easy to work with and had good communication. The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed as spelled out in it's listing. It's within minutes of a grocery store and Lovers Key State Park. The Times Square area is only a short driver or trolley ride north of the condo. If we ever travel to this area again we would definitely try to stay at this condo again!"

  • Great condo

"We stayed at this condo for the month of January, 2015. It is a clean, non smoking condo. Very nicely decorated and updated. Bay Village is a wonderful place to stay. The location is part of why we wanted to stay at this condo. You are just across the street from the beach but a water view from your back lanai. Very peaceful and quiet. Very nice heated pool. Restaurants, tiki bar, and Santini Plaza are within walking distance."

  • Wonderful Winter Escape

"We rented this condo for two months and we truly lucked out. While it looked great online and had many very positive reviews, we were not looking forward to being on the 10th floor. Boy, were we wrong! Not only was the view spectacular, but the condo is so well equipped that we felt like we were at home. This is not your typical rental condo. The owners have furnished it with top of the line furniture that is extremely comfortable. AND there are two elevators that were quick and efficient. We were whisked up and down in no time plus it has a view of the back bay during the ride! Being on the top floor end unit, we had virtually no noise from the neighbors. Because we were on the top floor we could watch sunrise from the bay side and sunset over the gulf from the lanai side. Amazing! The Tempurpedic mattress was a wonderful experience. We are thinking of replacing our home mattress with one. The chairs in the living room are great for curling up and reading a book and the bar chairs are the most comfortable we have ever sat on. The renovated master bathroom is absolutely beautiful as well as very functional and the kitchen with several sets of dishes for serving is so well equipped, it was a pleasure to cook dinner. We found the owners so very helpful from emailing pictures in advance for getting acquainted with the amenities, to a thorough explanation of the large high definition television, to restaurant suggestions. There are two beach chairs, at least five (maybe more) large high quality beach towels, a high end beach umbrella and 3 coolers for our use. We found the other condo residents to be welcoming and friendly. There are activities that allowed us to meet the others. There was a Mardi-Gras party, St. Patrick’s Day party, karaoke and bingo that provided some fun evenings, all this plus sunny afternoons by the heated pool or hot tub. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. There is a lovely boardwalk along the bay with benches to sit and watch the boats, kayakers, birds, manatees, and dolphins. While the condo is situated on the bay, it is only a short walk to the private entrance to the beach which provides endless hours of swimming, sunning, walking and shelling. Around the corner adjacent to the public marina is Santini Plaza with several restaurants and a variety of shops including a post office. All in all, we can’t wait to go back next year."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
