  • Great Family Beach Vacation

"Love this place. Location is great and is a great place to stay for a family vacation. This cottage has everything you need, is nicely decorated, clean and right on the beach. Love that you deal directly with the owner and that she responds quickly with all information needed. So glad this is the place that we chose out of all the rentals. Will recommend to family and friends and stay here again ourselves"

"Was very happy with the unit. Found it to be exceptionally clean and welcoming. Very nicely furnished with everything we needed for our stay. View is spectacular! Loved the fact that we had our own private beach such a short walk from the unit! Owner is so easy to deal with and accommodating that we will go back again and again. Close to bike rentals, highly recommend bike rental at Dolphin Inn, many restaurants to choose from. Santini Plaza across the street with places to shop and eat, along with a CVS. We really liked Pinchers at the Wyndham just down the street. A great place on the beach."

  • Gulf View Paradise

"My wife and I have just visited Fort Myers Beach at the Estero Beach and Tennis Club. The condo we stayed at for the 2nd time is absolutely wonderful. Convenient to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing and for the best view of sunset on the Gulf of Mexico any where on the west coast of Florida. The wildlife is right outside your door including birds, fishing and of course dolphins. The condo has everything you would need for a vacation of a lifetime. We are looking forward to our next visit with Karen and Don."

  • A great vacation stay!

"We stayed at this cottage for a five day vacation. The location is just perfect, a great view of the ocean and just steps away from the beach. You can walk to Times Square in a short ten minutes, either by the sidewalk or right along the beach, which takes you directly to the Ft. Myer's Beach pier. The cottage is neat and clean, very well kept and has everything you need for a beach visit. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her little cottage. It is bright and cheery on the inside, and so comfortable at the end of a day. We are also very thankful to the owner that she is pet friendly, we take our dog Gracie with us on trips and she just loved her time on the beach also. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a convenient, clean and comfortable stay on Ft. Myers Beach! We will definitely return."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
