  • REJUVENATING TWO WEEKS!

    James M.

"The location was wonderful--on the south end of the beach. Trolley provided easy access to restaurants which weren't in proximity to the condo. Beach and views were to die for; we had the choice of taking in the many sunsets from the lanai or walking down to the beach. Well maintained community grills made cooking for those nights when we ate in a breeze. The condo itself was immaculately furnished, and everything we could need was in the kitchen. It was great fun to have coffee while reading the newspaper on the lanai. Plenty of chairs and toys for the beach. After 3:30 in the afternoon, we could practically have the beach to ourselves. Gulf was definitely swim-able in late-Feb to early-Mar. We plan to come back again next year."

  • What a great place!

    Al & Marcia

"My wife and I have previously rented houses from the Outer Banks to Orlando so we can comment on the quality of Paradise Place. It was great. The house is everything it is represented to be and Nathalie was wonderful to work with. The house sits east-west and the patio/pool area is protected by surrounding landscaping so even though the weather was a bit cool and breezy the week we were there it was comfortable to swim in the heated pool and sun ourselves on the patio. It even has a separate fenced-in 'doggie area' perfect for playing Frisbee with your pup. A short walk and you're on the beach. Paradise Place is what vacation rentals are supposed to be. As others have put it, if we head south again Paradise Place will be our first option."

  • Fabulous Family Vacation Home

    Joseph M.

"Sunset Paradise is a spectacular vacation home! Both inside and out, it reflects owner's pride and excellent taste. It was perfectly clean and sparkling when we arrived. We have rented a number of homes on the Gulf and this one has been the best. The new kitchen is beautiful and a pleasure to work in. We appreciated the organized cabinets and drawers which made food preparation so easy. It was a nice touch to have some basic seasonings in the cabinet as well as paper products which we replaced on our shopping trips. The four bedrooms each having a bathroom was a big plus. The decor of the house makes it very comfortable and enjoyable. Those beach towels are luxurious. The owner and property manager provided helpful information. They are efficient and friendly. This house is a big hit! It met all of our expectations and more! Our family had a wonderful week together. We especially enjoyed the short walk to the shore, the refreshing pool and the calming waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The sky is magnificent whether at sunset, daylight or even overcast and stormy. We dined at some great restaurants, too. We are grateful to have found this gem and hope to be back again. Our thanks for sharing your paradise with us!"

  • Great Getaway from the Ohio winter

    Janet

"The month I spent in this comfortable and well located condo with the best view ever exceeded my expectations. I loved my coffee on the balcony in the morning watching for dolphins and viewing gorgeous sunset in the evening. Its location allows for very easy access to the beach, many restaurants the theater, shops, groceries, etc. Most within walking distance! I totally relaxed the month I spent in FMB in this condo. I recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time away. I have already booked for next year. Thank you, Wayne and Elise, for sharing your condo and helping us schedule for next year. I can't wait! I look forward to hearing the palm trees rustle and the gulf lapping the shore."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation.
