  • Great Condo

"My wife and I stayed here for a week recently. I must say that it was fantastic in every way. The location couldn't have been better - we had an amazing view of the Gulf and close to lots of places to eat/drink. Half a dozen restaurants, 7-11 store, CVS pharmacy and liquor store all just directly across the street. Fish House restaurant was excellent!! Really loved the beach, the best I've ever seen. Not crowded at all. Lots of place to pitch your umbrella. Lots of birds to watch on the beach and in the nearby lagoon. Also enjoyed seeing a dolphin or two swim by almost every day. Trolley ride up and down the strip is $0.75 or you can buy an all day pass. Use this to go to Publix a couple miles north. Great location if you don't need or have a car. Highly recommend it."

  • Old Florida Paradise

"We left Chicago In January minutes before a blizzard hit and landed in Fort Myers with the best weather in the country. We arrived at the Beachfront Tortuga and discovered Paradise in Old Florida. The view took our breath away. This romantic location has everything: sparkling waves, walks along sugar sand beaches, gorgeous sunsets; all in the front yard. The galley kitchen is large and fully equipped with everything useful. There is ample dining seating for eight with additional seating on the deck. Beds are comfortable with flat screen televisions in every room. The master bedroom is beachside with a panoramic view of the water. Street side there is much off street parking and the noise from Estero Blvd. is minimal. Restaurants, stores and nightlife are very close. The two inside baths are recently renovated. There is an outside bath with shower in the laundry area which is very helpful. The front yard is nicely secluded, extremely quiet, peaceful and presents beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and its sunsets. The yard extends to the beach, has natural Florida landscaping and a brick bordered fire pit for those rare cool evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to paradise."

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.
