  • Lovely Holiday

"My husband and I chose to rent this unit as it had very good reviews and was near the lagoon area to allow us to birdwatch. Shelly-Sue was a pleasure to deal with throughout the transaction and after we arrived, by telephoning, to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our security deposit was refunded most promptly after our visit. The condo is spacious and very well appointed and, as previous reviewers have said, had lots of little, extra homely touches The building is in a quite area and we saw few neighbours during our stay. We had a beautiful week weather wise and had a very relaxing holiday. We are already planning our next visit to Florida and would be delighted to stay here again."

  • Great place to stay

"We spent almost 4 weeks here had a great time, condo was clean had every thing we needed. Close by there were bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance, beach access across the road. However we preferred the beach around time square area more to see and things to do. Favourite eating/drinking places Nervous Nellies, close second Flippers at lovers key. Great shopping. Can't wait to return. Chuck, our stay was everything you said it would be."

  • 1ST ANNUAL CHRISTMAS VACATION IN FORT MYERS BEACH, FL

"We were lucky enough to have stayed at this little cottage in paradise, to our surprise the cottage had been renovated & we were the 1st to stay. We had such a great trip, everything turned out as we had hoped if not better. The cottage is located within walking distance of all the shopping & restaurants. There is a trolley you can take for .50 cents. Andrea & Jeff were amazing people, thank you for having us-SEE YOU NEXT YEAR !"

  • Blessed in Paradise

"This beautiful penthouse has all the comforts of home and the decor is absolutely lovely. We felt so relaxed there and we had everything we needed to make our visit very enjoyable. The views from the balcony were spectacular! We were just steps from the beach, so we would walk for miles and enjoy all that Ft. Myers Beach had to offer. It was quiet in the penthouse and on the grounds. The owner was so kind and generous! We were so blessed by her and all of her attention to details. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you Gina for everything we sincerely appreciate it very much!"

Fort Myers Beach Travel Tips

More than 6,200 people call Fort Myers Beach home. This town located on Estero Island wasn't officially incorporated until December 1995, making it a newer Floridian hotspot. Although Fort Myers Beach may be small, more than 1.8 million visitors flock there every year to enjoy the beaches, fishing, shopping, dining, golf and entertainment along the Gulf.

There's no undertow in Fort Myers Beach, making it the "World's Safest Beach" and perfect for families who want to get their toes wet. The entire island is 7 miles long, a nice walk or jog for those who want to work in a little exercise on their trip.

The area that was once home to Native Americans and Spaniards is a favorite among tourists who dine on "pink gold" shrimp and celebrate the fishing industry with the week-long Shrimp Festival held in March.

Fort Myers Beach Attractions

There's a lot to do on the tiny island of Estero including water sports, beach activities and outdoor and indoor attractions. There are 25 public beach accesses on the Gulf side of Estero Island that are marked for easy spotting.

You can stop by one of several playgrounds and parks in Fort Myers Beach. Head to Lynn Hall Memorial Park, where you can fish off of a 600-foot pier. Sports lovers can venture over to Bay Oaks Recreation Center for basketball, tennis and volleyball courts.

There are 17 acres of fun on the northern tip of Estero Island at Bowditch Point Regional Park. For more protected wildlife areas, check out the Matanzas Pass Wildlife Preserve with a restored cottage, 42 acres of wilderness and a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Seven acres are developed for a park and the rest remains part of a preservation. There are boardwalks that allow visitors to Estero Back Bay access to observe ospreys and pelicans as they fish for food. Kayaks and canoes are available at Oyster Bay and Lovers Key Barrier Island.
