Relaxing stay in beautiful Fort Myers canal home near the river
"My husband and I enjoyed our Feb. 2015 stay at Gloria's lovely home. We have been coming to Fort Myers for the past four years and this was the first time we rented a home off FMB. The home is just a block from the Caloosahatchee River off McGregor Blvd. It is close to some great restaurants and its proximity to downtown Fort Myers opened up our "stomping grounds" area from the beach alone to downtown Fort Myers and more sites and restaurants on Sanibel/Captiva. Gloria's home is fabulous inside and out. The yard is landscaped beautifully and the interior is spacious and decorated to a tee. On cooler days, it was enjoyable to just stay at "home" and read. Grocery stores, movie theaters, and shopping were 10 to 15 min. away. Publix, Costco, Home Goods, Bell Tower Shops, and boutiques were a hop, skip, and jump away via Whiskey Creek Blvd. We also went swimming at a community pool that was just 2 mi. away. We recommend getting a Sun Pass for the toll to Sanibel/Captiva as Gloria's home is close enough that you will find yourself returning there often. We love the coconut shrimp at Timbers on Sanibel and lunches at Grandma Dot's at the Marina. I also engaged in some retail therapy at the Tanger Outlet on the way to Sanibel. If you want to escape the cold and really relax, Gloria's home is the perfect choice."

"Two of us just stayed in this loft for two months and it was great. When we arrived they had it stocked with everything you could need from cooking supplies to hand soap, only thing to buy was food (but there were some spices and basic stuff available), they even had Tupperware and paper plates/cups. Nice décor, fully furnished, safe area, and beautiful grounds. Appliances cooking utensils were new and terrific, wanted to take them home! If I had to mention something, only complaint is that the TV upstairs is finicky, turns off if you turn the channel too fast and even after changing batteries it didn't work well. Not that big of a deal to us though. Its not too bad of a walk from downtown and would be great for people looking for a relaxed getaway."

"My husband and two boys age 8 and 9 stayed in this condo w/me for a week. When we arrived we were very impressed by how clean the condo was. We are a bunch of clean freaks so having a super clean condo was a welcomed relief! The kitchen was stocked very well with dishes and cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. There was soap, dishwasher soap and cleaning supplies under the sink, very helpful! The appliances are newer and very nice. The washer and dryer is small but understandably being a stack-able unit in a closet, but they worked very well. The wifi worked great and the TV's had a great selection of cable channels. Jim and Jean have a lot of extras in their condo....there was a couple coolers in a closet, fishing poles a cart to wheel in the sand, a beach chair and lots of beach toys, pool noodles, swim raft.....it was great! The kids really appreciated that! We went to many different beaches, so many are nice and close, Lighthouse Beach on Sanibel Island, Ft. Myers Beach, Vanderbilt Beach in Naples and Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs. When we stayed in we hung out by the hotel pool, it's big and clean with lots of chairs and a nice staff to wait on you. They even let us use the hotel pool towels but there are 4 beach towels provided in the condo. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good too. The only complaint I'd have to make is that the master bedroom does not have any real room darkening curtains/shades. When the sun comes up, it's pretty light in that bedroom. The master bathroom is renovated and gorgeous, we loved the shower! The shower had a nice powerful shower head and lots of room to move around. I can't say enough nice things about this condo, Jim was very accessible and got back to us right away when we had any questions. He called a few times to check on how our stay was going too. I highly recommend this spot for a wonderful vacation the views are breathtaking and every night at sunset we saw dolphins swimming in the bay! You won't be disappointed, and we will be coming back for another stay for sure!"
