"Our 4th year back and we still can't get enough... each trip is more magical then the one that came before. The house is comfortable but its largest draw is the character and charm. Traveling with children normally requires electronics...but not at the Beach Shack.... they never even asked to turn them on. Too busy fishing, digging up sand fleas, finding sharks teeth and swimming all day long. We may even go back again this summer...just can't stay away. Best time for the mommies too...we all just get to relax and play like children."

"My husband and I recently stayed at this unit which was neat, tidy and fully equipped with all the necessary kitchen supplies and linens. The view is lovely of the lake. It is conveniently located near the picnic area, community pool and ferry. The golf cart made it easy to get around the island. The beach is private and we enjoyed our long walks collecting shells. The owner's prompt response to our requests was greatly appreciated. This is a great getaway. Enjoy."

"The house is so tasefully decorated that I couldn't believe the owner was sharing it with tourist. Not fancy just kind of older beach home. We really enjoyed the stay and loved the island, the beach, the walks, the nature preserve, the lagoon, the house, the sunsets, the weather and the people on the island. It reminds me of the way Florida felt many years ago. Even though there is no bridge, there are water taxis through out the day that only take a few minutes and a few dollars to take you to the mainland. I will definitely go back."
