  • A Wonderful Place!

"We thoroughly enjoyed a restful and relaxing month on Sanibel at this unit. Thanks Ron and Leslie for how well you take care of the property, keeping everything fresh and in working order, all the kitchen supplies, beach chairs and even tennis rackets! You've thought of everything a family would need. We especially liked the new master bath - lovely! We had our family (children and grandchildren) come down at various times during our stay and the spaciousness of the condo made it ideal. Everyone had a great time and are already talking about doing it again next year."

  • Tropical Paradise

"We chose this area for our winter vacation because we wanted a rural experience away from the crowds. During the winter, southern Florida is rife with snowbirds and the coastal areas have row after row of high-rise condos. But the central region is the old/forgotten Florida and it truly is a nature lover's paradise. If you're looking for a wilderness adventure, this is a good place to be. A labyrinth of paths snake through the ten acre property/jungle with a surprise around each corner - towering bamboo trees, huge bird-of-paradise plants with leaves/fronds as big as a man, ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss, palmettos, vines, tall pines, magnolias, and many strange flowers that defied our identification. Wild citrus trees were laden with ripe grapefruit and oranges. A gurgling creek bisects the property and from a wooden bridge we watched a river otter disappear into his den. There is also a natural pond with a large alligator in residence. The home is tastefully decorated with charming high-end folk art - treasures in every room. At twilight we watched wood storks settle into the pond for the night. Sand hill cranes flew low overhead toward their roosting area. The nights were alive with frog and cricket chorus, and many other-worldly sounds. Excitingly eerie! There are no security lights here (good!) so when it gets dark it REALLY gets dark. The stars were incredible at night - Orion straight overhead. We explored the area marshes, beaches, and forests with our car, our bikes, and our canoe. When we paddled the area creeks and rivers we felt like we were in the Amazon - wild and exotic. A nice thing about the local creeks and rivers is that the slow currents allow you to paddle in either direction, eliminating the need to spot a car. The waterways are so remote that you're unlikely to see cabins or other signs of civilization. Just what we wanted! We had a very pleasant stay and the owners were charming and very attentive. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable home in the woods, come to this place."

  • Amazing in every way!

"At first I was a little skeptical about renting this home because I didn’t find many online reviews. I am so glad that I decided to rent it anyways because it is truly Ahh-MAZING!!! It’s the best kept secret on Ana Maria Island. The house was super clean and the perfect size for our family and friends. The pictures listed are accurate except I think the house is even better in person. Very quiet secluded neighborhood that it literally steps to a beautiful white sand beach. Walking distance to a shopping center with Publix, Walgreens, Dollar Tree and more. Although, the golf cart did come in handy for groceries. Plenty of kitchen utensils, bath towels, pool towel, beach toys, tons of cable channels, family games, great a/c unit, every light fixture worked, excellent water pressure in the showers, and so much more. The pool and spa were very clean and just the right size. The colored pool lights at night make for a fun show! Also, plenty of lounge chairs and tables to accommodate everyone outside. The gas grill and smoker were also a hit with my family football Sunday. The elevator was a plus because going up and down the stairs can be a workout, especially when unpacking and packing luggage and groceries. We have a young child so we brought a child gate with us for safety. The owner, Tim was very accommodating with our last minute booking over MLK weekend and very accessible if needed. We will definitely be going back soon and can’t wait! A big thank you to the entire Tario family for sharing your gorgeous home with us."
