  • A Perfect Family Getaway

"We stayed at the house for a week during March 2014. We had my wife three children (adults) and my daughter in-law and two grandchildren. The house was perfect. Of course it always helps to have nice weather which we did. The house is well maintained on one of the finger streets on the north end of the island on the bay side. The kitchen is well laid out and reasonably equipped. We did a lot of cooking. There were even extras like spices and cooking oils available if needed. There is a master bedroom, and bath suite on the top floor. It is a lovely room with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the canal and the pool. The pool is heated and easy to control. The other bedrooms were also well laid out with clean modern baths. The neighbors are all friendly and have known the owners for years and seem very comfortable with guests staying in the house. The maintenance person is available and very helpful. The beach is about a ten minute walk. There are not many beach access points on Longboat Key but this is by one of them. You can park by the church and there always appeared to be spaces available but we ended up always walking. The beach is beautiful and fairly private. If you want the crowds go north ten minutes just over the bridge to Coquina Beach in Bradenton. It is a beautiful beach and you can get ice-cream and even a beer. Further north is more of what you would expect of a beach town, little shops, restaurants, pizza. Going south you are headed towards Sarasota and St. Armand’s Circle. It has more upscale shops and restaurants. Also think about DryDock on Longboat Key. Make reservations at least a week in advance. Go out for a kayak trip. You will see dolphins, egrets and Great Blue Herons. We had our own personal Great Blue Heron that hung out at the pool and an egret that hung around also. You can rent a boat fairly close by but in the end we did not have enough time. It is about an hour to Busch Gardens in Tampa. Try not to leave the island after 3:00 PM. The traffic is very heavy. So stay near the house if you can and enjoy. The owner is terrific to deal with and very prompt in answering all our questions. In sum it is a terrific place to stay."

  • Best Holiday Ever!!!

"My husband and I had the most relaxing holiday at this condo in Long Boat Key. The condo exceeded our expectations as it is even nicer than the pictures. Favourite things: sound of the waves, incredible view, morning beach walks, quiet, friendly area, and extremely well maintained. The view from this property changes everyday including the wave patterns and sunsets. We loved watching the sunset every evening while enjoying a beverage on the deck. Also enjoyed the beach, birds, shell collecting, dolphins, and watching people fish from the shoreline. Chatted with a gentleman fishing on the dock and he caught a "gentle" stingray (didn't have a stinger) and he taught us about some of the local fish that he likes to catch. Excellent grocery store only minutes away by car, great selection of seafood and the steaks are amazing. The 2 BBQ's on site are propane Webers and are so great that my husband wants to buy one. Also, loved visiting St. Armands Circle for shopping and eating out. Beachplace condo also has several beach umbrellas and longuers for the facility so you don't have to pack them to the beach everyday. Very nice to have a stackable washer and dryer in the condo! Every little detail is thought out, felt very at home and was very sad to leave. We have rebooked for 2016. Dave and Pam Meers, B.C. Canada"

  • Longboat Key beautiful home

"We spent a week at this absolutely wonderful home. The pool, the views, the house were more then we expected. Our little yorkie spent many long walks to Durante Park and we spent many days on the gulf. The sunrises were spectacular with a great view from the home and deck. We all enjoyed the pool immensely on a daily basis. This home was well equipped with everything that you need. The owners were very gracious and accommodating welcoming us with fresh flowers and fruit. We will most definitely be returning to this absolutely lovely home. Thank you Jerry and Sue for allowing us to vacation in your beautiful home"

  • Great Vacation Destination

"This vacation was definitely a blessing for our family. The house was clean and provided for all our needs. The pool was very enjoyable and the distance to the beach was not a bad walk. A ten to fifteen minute drive can get you to many restaurants and grocery stores. My wife and three daughters and three grandkids will try to get back to this location soon. Thanks Stephenie for the opportunity to enjoy your paradise."
