  • Bargain Priced, Great Location! Clean Clean Clean!

"We stayed the entire month of February 2015. Clean Clean Clean! Very well maintained and we did not even see one insect inside or even on the porch. This unit has everything you need for an extended stay and everything is quality and newer. You will not be disappointed with this unit as it is clear that the owner's take great pride in maintaining this condo. The location is wonderful! Go to the back, enjoy the pool or walk the dock and fish. And a free dock for your boat! It is 4/10 mile to the village center - fine bars and good restaurants and not far to convienent shopping major box stores. The beach is a short walk across the street - 5 minutes. The owners are great communicators, respond to e-mails & texts very fast. We brought one small defect to their attention and it was repaired the next day. This condo is a great value. The other residents were all wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I really liked that there were only 9 units, quiet and plenty of parking spaces. My only desire would be for more direct sunlight inside but because of the building position it lacks direct sunlight, at least in February. I highly recommend this unit and we are well traveled all over the world. Manasota Key is "old Florida" and there is no disappointment with this destination or this condo unit!"

  • Vacationers from Michigan

"We absolutely love the condo. The decorating is so homey, and we felt comfortable from the first day. We love the décor, and the little decorative touches that are around the rooms. Having Wi-fi in the condo is so handy, as is having a washer and dryer. We have a master list of items that we bring to Florida, but the owners have anticipated many of our needs such as a nightlight and clock. We have just about whatever we need to prepare good meals and live comfortably. The view from the condo is awesome. The pools are a perfect temperature. The water temperature in the Gulf (just across the street) is perfect for swimming also--as warm as it is in Lake Michigan in the summer. We are amazed at how quiet it is here at night, and the breeze off of the Gulf is so refreshing. We ate at a number of restaurants on the water, and fell in love with grouper. It is the perfect location for bike riding, tennis, sunning and swimming, and in close proximity to shopping, nature centers, cultural activities, and more. We will definitely return."

  • Wow! Already planning our next trip!

"Where to begin? Beach Destiny was simply amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. It started with the uncompromising service of the All Star Vacation Homes Rep, Sarah Wackerly. We never encountered problems but new she was a phone call away and that felt comforting. When we arrived at Beach Destiny, we couldn't believe our eyes. The house is mere steps away from the beach! Throughout our stay we swam in the ocean, caught some rays, searched for sea shells, relaxed, paddle-boarded, and even rode jet skis! (the rental shop was just a short walk) And every night, we capped off the day with gorgeous sunset after gorgeous sunset from the house patio that was well suited with seating to make everything that much more comfortable. The house itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need. From the main floor kitchen, multiple bedrooms and baths, downstairs bar, and a garage full of bikes, golf carts, and beach toys to the plush couches, soft beds, and tvs (which you forget are even there), Beach Destiny provided ten fold. Remember its proximity to the beach? That was just half of its prime location. We were always eager to hop in the golf cart and take the very short ride to a bevy of delicious local restaurants like the Bubble Room, Latte Da, The Green Flash, and the always fun, The Mucky Duck. Local marinas were also dotted throughout Captiva that let us view marine wildlife like manatees! The only bad thing was when we had to leave. We all took our time packing our bags, soaking up every last bit of Beach Destiny and the time we had during our stay. Cant wait till next time!"

  • Everything you would want in a great Vacation

"This house really is equipped with everything you could possibly need, right down to the spices. It is really frustrating to spend a day at a vacation rental creating a list of things to buy - then running out to the store for stuff all week as it comes up. The location and view on the canal is beautiful and we enjoyed coffee each morning and had sun exposure each evening. This was one of our best vacations as a family ever. Highly recommended..."

Marco Island Travel Tips

Marco Island can be found in the Gulf of Mexico and is the biggest of Florida's "Ten Thousand Islands". With white, sandy beaches and a laid-back atmosphere, relaxation is certainly the name of the game. Enjoy the seemingly endless sunshine while you swim with dolphins, work on your tan, try some water sports or stroll the streets perusing shop windows.

The island itself is small, just 6 miles by 4 miles, but there's tons to do here. Marco Island boasts an excellent restaurant scene where you can sample fresh seafood and other local favorites in between exploring the natural scenery and checking out cultural attractions.

Things to Do on Marco Island

Dolphin Explorer: Dolphin and marine life lovers will certainly want to take a trip on the Dolphin Explorer, a 30-foot catamaran that can carry up to 28 passengers. This boat allows scientists and visitors to the island to get up close and personal with the Gulf's aquatic life. The Dolphin Explorer is used as part of a study called the Ten Thousand Island Dolphin Project looking at the movement, association patterns and behavior of Southwest Florida's bottlenose dolphins. Be part of the action with a trip out on the catamaran and be sure to bring your camera!

Marco Island Historical Museum: If you're hoping to find out about the history of Marco Island, look no further than the Marco Island Historical Museum where you can travel back more than one million years through various exhibits. Learn about the Calusa Indian tribe, the pioneer settlement and development on the island over the years. Peruse the photography, artifacts and more as you stroll through the space and gain a better understanding of what made Marco Island what it is today.

Marco Island Center for the Arts: Experience the culture of the area at the Marco Island Center for the Arts, which provides not only galleries and exhibits, but also offers lectures, classes, workshops and special events. The galleries change monthly and feature works from Floridian artists in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture and more. Currently the theme is Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and past galleries include Salon de Garage, Gold Madness, Fun and Funk Teapots and Picture the Music.

South Marco and Tigertail Beaches: Spending time on the local beaches is a must here, and South Marco Beach is an excellent option as it's one of two public beaches on the island. Here you'll find an acre of sandy shores dotted with lovely sabal palm trees, creating a true island feel. It's a great place if you're looking to collect seashells or want to take a swim. Tigertail is the more popular of the two beaches, as it features extra amenities including restrooms and a full-service snack bar. Tigertail is located on a lagoon so the water here is pretty shallow, making it excellent for families with smaller kids. Find the perfect spot of sand to stretch out your beach towel or take advantage of the beach chair and umbrella rentals. Whether you're swimming, sunbathing, catching up on reading or throwing a Frisbee, you'll have a great time. When you need a break from the sun, check out the adjacent butterfly gardens and children's playgrounds. There are even grills and picnic tables for a tasty lunch break.

Dining on Marco Island

Snook Inn: For more than 30 years, Snook Inn has been serving up delicious food while patrons enjoy true waterfront dining. You can drive in by boat or car as this casual eatery offers parking for both. Snook Inn is open seven days a week and on any given day you can enjoy live entertainment while sampling the mahi mahi, fried oysters, deep sea scallops, old-fashioned Reuben, barbecue pork sandwich and specialty drinks.

Sale e Pepe: For a more upscale dining experience, make a reservation at Sale e Pepe for some exquisite gourmet Italian fare. You'll feel like you've traveled to Italy once you step into the dining room outfitted with marble floors, hand-painted frescoes and aged stones. Chef Giuliano Matarese and his team cook everything from scratch every day. Try the pasta options, sea bass, rack of lamb or filet mignon, and be sure to pair it with a delicious wine. While it'll be easy to stuff yourself on the unbeatable main course, be sure to save room for dessert like chocolate mousse, tiramisu cheesecake or homemade gelato.
