There are extensive hiking and biking trails, as well as roller blade and walking paths and several nature preserves. Be prepared to stop and wait for the deer wandering the area to cross the road. For those who are geo caching hobbyists, Deer Crossing is the site of a cache located the River Woods Park. You can park close to the site, but will still have to hike into the woods.
