There are five distinct micro habitats within the preserve: coastal strand, estuarine mangrove forest, beach, maritime hammock, and the dune zone. Also close by is Estero Bay, Florida's first aquatic preserve. The park protects water, inlets, wildlife, and islands along the 10 miles of Estero Bay. Canoeing and kayaking in the waters of the preserve or hiking and biking allow a visitor to enjoy flora and fauna including the American bald eagle. Downtown Naples has great restaurants like Chop City Grill and Kelly's Fish House, both located in Olde Naples where most restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries are found. For something a little bit closer to home in North Naples, Bay House Restaurant boasts great seafood.
