  • PERFECT!

"We have been vacationing in Naples for a month each winter for the past 9 years. This was our first time at Elaine and Charlie’s 5th Avenue condo and is not our last. The location on 5th is perfect for walking to and enjoying all that Olde Naples as to offer: The Sugden Theater, Cambier Park (which hosts free concerts weekly), and so many wonderful restaurants and shops. The one block walk to the beach could not have been easier to come and go during the day to enjoy all that the Gulf has to offer. The condo had everything for our one-month stay including a washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchen. Having the lovely courtyard and pool only added to our total enjoyment. But, the best was that Elaine and Charlie were so easy to work with and that made our stay even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning in 2016 and highly recommend this perfect condo and location to all."

  • Fantastic place-- close to the beach

"House is very nice and has a nice updated kitchen. The house is very nicely decorated with Mary Ellen's artwork. On this trip, we only had two adults and one 11 year old. We had tons of space. This house can easily accommodate 6-8 (using the couches to sleep). Bedrooms were comfortable and there were plenty of hangers and dresser space for clothes. Kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked in the kitchen every day-- except our day of arrival. It's always harder to cook in someone else's kitchen-- when you are used to your own. My advice is to bring a few of your "must haves" if you are able to-- particularly when driving. When we drive, I usually bring a few things that I'll want to have in the kitchen. This time, I brought (1) Espresso Coffee Machine, (2) Foreman Grill, and (3) a pot for making popcorn on the stove (so I didn't risk burning one of the house pots). We found the house to be a great balance of budget and location. It is cheaper than some places you'll find that are right on the beach. For the better price, you get being close to the beach-- instead of on the beach. The beach is 3/4 miles to the actual water. It's about a 10 minute walk to the public beach entrance (right next to entrance to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park). It is a 2 minute drive to the beach. I recommend driving if you have gear. There is really no free parking at the public beach entrance. There is plenty of parking at the Delnor-Wiggins park for $6/day). The beaches were very nice / convenient. On one day, we ventured to Vanderbilt beach-- which is about a 10 minute drive to parking garage ($8 / day) followed by a 5 minute walk. Vanderbilt has a wider beach than Delnor-Wiggins pass and is more crowded. Both beaches are clean, well-maintained, with good facilities. I recommend researching both parks on the internet for additional details. Mary Ellen is extremely accommodating and easy to work with. You can't rent from a better owner. She obviously cares that her renters have a great experience. There are some basic, common-sense house rules that are easy to follow. The main rules were to keep sand out of the house and be careful with oil on the granite countertops. (Both of these you would do at your own house). We found the rules easy to follow. For sand, we always entered through the garage to drop off gear Then, we showed in the outdoor shower at the side of the house to rinse off any remaining sand."

  • For Golf Lovers and Others

"We spent two and half months/2015 at this rental in Forest Glen. Everything in the posting is true and then some. Forest Glen is a great community..we were made to feel welcome right away. The golf course is in superb shape, easy to get a game and you can walk to the range to correct those minor swing problems. The unit is clean and comfortable with all of the necessary 'stuff'. Highly recommended."

  • Getway Naples Vacation 2014

"We had a wonderful experience; the Casita is very cozy, quiet, no surrounding noisy neighbors …. Just perfect. The house was super clean with the feeling of being at home. The bedrooms and spacious floor plan felt like being in a 5 star hotel. The owners were very responsive and terrific people, they made sure our stay was perfect. Unlike other properties in the area this house is a corner lot making it stand out during the day and most conveniently at night. The location is great, a short walk to the pool and village center (for the free morning coffee) which was convenient. The resort is quiet and a wonderful place to stay with the most amazing amenities – gym and an incredible pool, with the feeling of being at an expensive Riviera Maya resort but safer and no language barriers. Marco Island and Naples with their beautiful and warm beaches are close by and awesome restaurants downtown Naples. You definitely must check this place out and stay at this house. My husband and I are looking forward to going back soon."
