"Sold our house, needed a nice place to stay with family for a month while new house was being finished. Stayed here on the canal and did not want to leave. The owners have thought of everything, this place was so nice, we all felt right at home. I would highly reccomend this quaint little Naples cottage to anyone looking for a get away. Great neighborhood, close to many restaurants, shopping. Great experience."

  • Can't wait to go back!

"We just returned from our fourth stay at this lovely home. As in the past, it did not disappoint! It is a clean and lovely home with everything you need for a great vacation. The pool and hot tub are fantastic and you can't beat the location. We cannot wait to return next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us once again Tina and Lance!"

  • Fantastic place-- close to the beach

"House is very nice and has a nice updated kitchen. The house is very nicely decorated with Mary Ellen's artwork. On this trip, we only had two adults and one 11 year old. We had tons of space. This house can easily accommodate 6-8 (using the couches to sleep). Bedrooms were comfortable and there were plenty of hangers and dresser space for clothes. Kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked in the kitchen every day-- except our day of arrival. It's always harder to cook in someone else's kitchen-- when you are used to your own. My advice is to bring a few of your "must haves" if you are able to-- particularly when driving. When we drive, I usually bring a few things that I'll want to have in the kitchen. This time, I brought (1) Espresso Coffee Machine, (2) Foreman Grill, and (3) a pot for making popcorn on the stove (so I didn't risk burning one of the house pots). We found the house to be a great balance of budget and location. It is cheaper than some places you'll find that are right on the beach. For the better price, you get being close to the beach-- instead of on the beach. The beach is 3/4 miles to the actual water. It's about a 10 minute walk to the public beach entrance (right next to entrance to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park). It is a 2 minute drive to the beach. I recommend driving if you have gear. There is really no free parking at the public beach entrance. There is plenty of parking at the Delnor-Wiggins park for $6/day). The beaches were very nice / convenient. On one day, we ventured to Vanderbilt beach-- which is about a 10 minute drive to parking garage ($8 / day) followed by a 5 minute walk. Vanderbilt has a wider beach than Delnor-Wiggins pass and is more crowded. Both beaches are clean, well-maintained, with good facilities. I recommend researching both parks on the internet for additional details. Mary Ellen is extremely accommodating and easy to work with. You can't rent from a better owner. She obviously cares that her renters have a great experience. There are some basic, common-sense house rules that are easy to follow. The main rules were to keep sand out of the house and be careful with oil on the granite countertops. (Both of these you would do at your own house). We found the rules easy to follow. For sand, we always entered through the garage to drop off gear Then, we showed in the outdoor shower at the side of the house to rinse off any remaining sand."

  • Corrected Review

"I would like to correct any impression that I gave that this was not an excellent property. The pool was a little cooler than expected but we were able to use it. My daughter-in-law was in it almost every day at some point. We had cocktails in the pool area every evening - it was great! I definitely recommend this house and the owner is very helpful and accommodating."
