  • You Ask Why?

"Why rent this property? Let me give you four good reasons: Relaxing, comforting, peaceful and refreshing! This was a return visit for my husband and I and it was exactly what we needed. This year we even brought a friend. With the rush and stress of everyday life we enjoy a vacation filled with all of the above. Once again, we found it! We relaxed every day....by the pool, on the beach, in the hot tub, watching a movie....every day!! What a life! It was comfortable....plenty of seating, nice beds to rest in, towels, towels and more towels! You name it, we had everything we needed! The home and its surroundings provide a peaceful environment where you can hear the sounds of nature and see the amazing wildlife. Eagles, hawks, sand pipers, sand sharks, manatees, dolphins....so much to enjoy. And at the end of the week you are refreshed. So I would ask, why not? This is the place that you cannot pass up and you will not regret! The place is extremely clean and well maintained. These owners care that you have a wonderful stay and make many special memories. We plan to return again....love this spot and you don't need to leave the US to enjoy a tropical feel! It is definitely a hidden gem!"

  • Beautiful Beach Retreat

"I have stayed at the Blue Fin Beach house yearly for several years now and oh what an experience. The interiors are beautiful just out of architectural digest . The home is well maintained and the care taker Jason lives on the island which is a plus if you need anything or have a question about the home. Every stay there has been hassle free, and the owners Mandy and John couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating . No detail has been overlook in this 5 star property which is meticulously maintained. If you want an experience of a lifetime on an island that that is breathtakingly beautiful I suggest you consider the BlueFin as your next escape. I know I would not consider staying anywhere else. PS: Mandy the new exterior landscaping is fabulous and only adds to the tropical feel of the home. Just beautiful ! Janice West Virginia"

  • Very quiet / secluded - perfect for couple

"If you really want to detach from reality, this is it. Very comfortable with just the right amount of practicality. Best beaches for swimming are on the other side of the island (2 minute golf cart ride). Fish from the beach 25 steps from your front door. Bring ice (store ran out one day). Gary is amazing... just a phone call away for any questions or last minute adjustments. We'll be back!"

  • Really is a perfect placement

"My family and I stayed at Perfect Placement the first week of March. There were 7 of us (including a 5yo and a 6 month old). There was plenty of space. Everything was clean. The location of the house is absolutely perfect. Steps from the beach. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch. We ate out there most meals. The sunsets were perfect! We loved the feel of the island life. Slow pace. We really enjoyed access to North Captiva Island Club. We went to the pool most days. We played tennis one day. Rented bikes (free) one day and Kayaks another day. We rented a boat one day and really enjoyed exploring nearby islands. We only ate out twice. Once at the pool bar for lunch. And then on our last night we ate at Barnacles. It seemed a little pricey but since we just did it once, it wasn't too bad. I had read a review that someone said they wish they had packed more food and less clothes. Even after reading that I still felt the same way. I wore 1/4 of the clothes I brought- I pretty much lived in my swimsuit and coverup. And we ended up ordering more groceries half-way through the week. I would suggest adding bottled water to your grocery list. We initially didn't do that, but the tap water tasted a little funny. We had a great experience ordering our groceries through Sandie and having them delivered to the house. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back myself. This is a great place to get away from the busyness of life."
