  • Love to vacation here - love to have a home that feels like home

"This was our second visit to North Captiva - it cemented that this is our favorite Florida getaway. What we loved about Windswept is how much Mark and Wendy make it feel like home. The kitchen is amazingly well organized and stocked. (Wendy even has a map of the kitchen with where everything is/belongs). Need a food processor - they have one. Need a spice you forgot to bring with you - they probably have it. When you want to entertain yourself or the family - they have it covered. The selection of movies if there's a rainy day (we certainly didn't have any but did have movie night) is very complete with recent movies, favorite movies and classic movies. Plus there is a closet full of games to make family time fun time. We love North Captiva and what it brings to our family. On this trip we spent time with a family of manatees, kayaked to see amazing birds, dolphins, stingrays and flying fish. We spent a lot of time at Mango's with Suzy, Matt and Yanni (world's best bartenders). We were also blessed, because we stayed at Windswept, right on the border of the sate park, to see the bobcats. This is the perfect place to connect with family and disconnect from the world (although the wifi worked perfectly). We would highly recommend Windswept as your home for the perfect vacation."

  • Beautiful Beach Retreat

"I have stayed at the Blue Fin Beach house yearly for several years now and oh what an experience. The interiors are beautiful just out of architectural digest . The home is well maintained and the care taker Jason lives on the island which is a plus if you need anything or have a question about the home. Every stay there has been hassle free, and the owners Mandy and John couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating . No detail has been overlook in this 5 star property which is meticulously maintained. If you want an experience of a lifetime on an island that that is breathtakingly beautiful I suggest you consider the BlueFin as your next escape. I know I would not consider staying anywhere else. PS: Mandy the new exterior landscaping is fabulous and only adds to the tropical feel of the home. Just beautiful ! Janice West Virginia"

  • You Ask Why?

"Why rent this property? Let me give you four good reasons: Relaxing, comforting, peaceful and refreshing! This was a return visit for my husband and I and it was exactly what we needed. This year we even brought a friend. With the rush and stress of everyday life we enjoy a vacation filled with all of the above. Once again, we found it! We relaxed every day....by the pool, on the beach, in the hot tub, watching a movie....every day!! What a life! It was comfortable....plenty of seating, nice beds to rest in, towels, towels and more towels! You name it, we had everything we needed! The home and its surroundings provide a peaceful environment where you can hear the sounds of nature and see the amazing wildlife. Eagles, hawks, sand pipers, sand sharks, manatees, dolphins....so much to enjoy. And at the end of the week you are refreshed. So I would ask, why not? This is the place that you cannot pass up and you will not regret! The place is extremely clean and well maintained. These owners care that you have a wonderful stay and make many special memories. We plan to return again....love this spot and you don't need to leave the US to enjoy a tropical feel! It is definitely a hidden gem!"

  • You can stop searching NOW

"This is a great rental house. It has absolutely everything you need for a super time on North Captiva. This was our third stay here and we are already reserved for next year. The landscaping is exquisite and really makes the pool area the highlight of the house. The furnishings and the linens are top quality as are the paper products provided. Great and responsive owners who go out of their way to make your time at Las Olas special. They are always doing something to improve the property. Loved the additional space on the screened in porch upstairs. Very comfortable. Plus it is dog friendly! I have recommended for 55+ as we are 66 and 70 and have no problems with stairs. But if stairs are a problem, then you may want to look for a home with an elevator or just one floor. Las Olas is a reverse floor plan with the living areas on the top (third) floor and bedrooms on the bottom (second) floor. But it is a beautiful and peaceful spot for a nice respite."
