Turtle Landing is Heaven
"We just spent two weeks at Turtle Landing on Palm Island - what a great place to unplug, unwind and experience old Florida.
The home is well kept, has a great pool, dock for fishing and is surrounded by lush vegetation. The short golf cart ride to the beach was one of the highlights for the kids. Scott and Lisa took great care to create a peaceful and relaxing beach get away. If you are looking for nightlife and restaurants look elsewhere - Palm Island old Florida and we hope it stays that way. The two minute ferry ride puts three decades between you and mainland and we can't wait to go back next year!"

"What a beautiful place! My family and another family travel to the gulf every summer for some R&R, and this was a perfect place for it. We spent the week drinking coffee on the lanai, watching the dolphins, picking up shark teeth, and riding a golf cart around the island to spot the gopher tortoises. Jorge and Angie were so easy to work with and we appreciate that so much. Their home is very comfortable with beautiful furnishings. Thank you so much for sharing your getaway with us!"

"After having stayed in a beachfront home on Bonita Beach, for 3 years, we wanted to experience a different part of Florida. This home was all that was promised and more. The photos do not do justice to the panoramic ocean view that is showcased by wall to wall glass from the kitchen to the dining room and on to the living area. You walk out onto a huge deck and, if you make it past the lounge chairs, you just might want to explore the beach! The beach is much closer than the photos make it appear…and, I don’t know if it was simply the time of year or what, but we had the beach nearly to ourselves…most days we might see a total of 10 to 12 people the ENTIRE DAY. Just exactly what we are looking for in a beach holiday! The beach was clean and the beachfront dunes were not very high so they just added interest and did not hamper the view. We have been in the house building business for nearly 40 years, so we recognize quality construction (as well as the lack of it). This home was built with the same amenities that you would use in a house you were building for yourself…not the same as the stripped down versions of some vacation homes. It is obvious that the decorating was professionally done, as everything was beach themed sophistication. The furniture, as well as all the televisions and electronics were in excellent condition and new looking. High quality kitchen appliances and fully outfitted with every cooking tool you could need. The owners encourage recycling and have provided the proper bins so it is easy to do…we recycle at home so we appreciated this effort too! If peace, quiet, and ocean serenity are what you are looking for, you will be happy here."

"We have heard many great things about life on Don Pedro Island. Our experience far exceeded our expectations. First of all, we were fortunate to choose this residence as our base for our island get away vacation. We were greeted with flowers and chocolates, left by the owner, on the kitchen counter. The living/kitchen area, with floor to ceiling windows, is comfortable and spacious. The windows allow for the sun beams to brighten the room. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional. Our bedroom and bed were very comfortable, and provided all the room we needed. There's a full bathroom and closet, between the bedroom and kitchen; however, one of our favorite amenities was the outdoor shower. Sitting on the porch deck and dock was a favorite time for me; private and a fantastic breeze.
The island did not disappoint, with miles of practically deserted beach, seashells galore and warm water; we enjoyed many walks. Golf carts can be rented and we carted around the island, taking in the sites of beautiful vegetation, beautiful homes, tortoises and a stop at the island resort.
We plan to return to Mangrove Bay."
