"We just arrived back home after renting this condo for February, 2015 and it was "lovely". It was so well furnished and everything that you possibly needed was at your fingertips. It also was in such a great location to walk to shops, restaurants and just a block to the beach. The view from the lanai was spectacular with all the boats coming and going from the marina. The pool was beautiful and the people we met there were extremely nice. The owners were very accommodating and helpful for us. We hope to possibly rent this unit again someday in the near future.

"Stumbled upon this little gem while searching for places to take our honeymoon. We weren't really finding the secluded and relaxed feel we were wanting while looking at Sanibel and Captiva. We were drawn to the idea of no vehicles and shopping malls.
The house was in great shape. One of the only places with a privacy fence around the pool. The observation deck was a great feature early in the mornings and late evenings. There's even a little beach view. Don't forget first aid items! The local store is limited and very pricey.
While the preserve on the island was pretty cool we enjoyed the beach by the house much more. If you're wanting to rent kayaks I suggest Barnacle Phils over NCIC. The prices are better and more choices on the kind of kayak.
Overall, we had a great time. It was relaxing and the house was great! I think the best feature is the fenced in pool with the outdoor bed!"

"We rented Seaside Rendezvous for the month of July, and an assortment of friends and family stayed with us for various lengths of time throughout the month. Here are the major pluses we most appreciated: Quiet street in a residential area; directly across the street from public beach access; beach chairs, wagon, etc. provided; large home with lots of amenities; a pool; elevator (awesome feature, especially since one of us recently had ankle surgery); and a reasonable rate.
Things that detracted from our stay included: Very poor and/or confusing furniture placements in several of the rooms; disorganized cabinets, which made it very difficult to find things (for example: toys, games and videos were spread among at least five different cabinets); a level of cleanliness that was not quite up to par for what we expect in a top-notch rental; a lack of items in the home left by previous renters, such as cleaning supplies and food staples.
We spent nearly two full days deep cleaning, reorganizing things, and moving the furniture into more workable arrangements. Once we did these things our stay was relaxing and very enjoyable. All of the pieces are there for a five-star rental experience, just a little more attention to detail is needed. For example, when you stay someplace for a month, decent people are going to want to clean...the kitchen, the baths, etc. so we were a little surprised and flummoxed there were no cleaning supplies to be found in the home. I can understand the owners might not want to routinely supply these things, however I would think guests would buy certain items they would leave behind. That has been our experience in other vrbo rentals we have had, and as such, we generally contribute to the cause by buying replacements for anything we use up, or even a gadget we felt the home could use.
These seem like nit-picky things...but as I mentioned, this very good rental could be a five-star with little additional cost or effort."

"Our party of 10 adults and 3 children fit comfortably in this lovely home.Plenty of space so there is no need to trip over each other. We chose not to rent a car and were able to easily hop public transportation at the end of the road and ride daily to Anna Maria Island and beaches/restaurants/stores galore. Publix is within walking distance/short cab ride. The pool at the house is large, tennis courts/pool table extra fun. The house is clean. Renting long distance I always worry about legitimacy and get worried about getting contracts in hand immediately, directions, etc. Be aware Gavin has a time frame that he operates within. But he comes through as promised. And we had FABULOUS weather. So much better than the cold winter in Maine."
