  • Highly Recommended!!!!!

"The condo is located in the Bonita Springs Golf Resort. Access to the community is controlled (gated) and requires an access code after 6 PM. Grocery, hardware, pharmacy and eating establishments are less than one mile away. The condo has a single covered parking space just steps from the front door. The grounds and surrounding area are excellently maintained. Upon arrival, we had a little difficulty with the electronic door lock and had to make a phone call to gain entry to the unit. The owner happened to be in Bonita Springs and came over to help us out. He was very friendly and accommodating. We were pleased with the cleanliness, decorations, furniture and condition of the unit. As this is a ground floor end unit, a great plus was the enclosed courtyard decorated with a table, chairs and electric grill. Plenty of closet space and storage within the unit and an ample supply of cookware, kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, etc. The condo was also well equipped with many kitchen ‘gadgets’ (juicer, coffee machines, blender and waffle iron to name just a few), the appliances worked well and the full size washer and dryer kept up with our wet towels and swimsuits after visiting the pool almost every day. While the unit amenities included an electric iron, the ironing board was a small tabletop size (a full sized folding ironing board would have been nice). Large flat screen TV’s and individual Blu-Ray DVD players are located in the living room and both bedrooms. All that said, we found the listing as “handicapped accessible” not altogether truthful. While there are no steps to enter/exit the unit, lani and courtyard, the doors are standard size (30 inches wide), guest bedroom hallway and bathrooms are narrow (hard to navigate a wheelchair in), no grab bars in the shower/tub or around the toilets and both toilets are standard height. This was not a serious problem for us but I did have to make a trip to the local pharmacy to purchase a toilet seat riser due to my bad back. Pros: Location, close to everything of interest yet in a quiet area of town. Cleanliness, appearance, well maintained (inside and out). Close proximity of parking, pools and clubhouse. Friendliness of neighbors. Cons: Not an ideal ‘handicapped accessible’ unit (could be easily remedied by installing grab bars in the bathrooms and replacing the toilets with ADA (Americans With Disabilities Act) compliant height fixtures. Pools and hot tubs not accessible after dark."

  • Loved this cottage

"Comfortable, quiet, plenty of space for two with a guest bedroom for visiting family and friends. Loved the community, the walks across the bridge to the beach and proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. Really enjoyed Cortez Fish Festival and Maritime Museum. Hope to come back again for vacation!"

  • Best vacation ever!!

"My family and I had a wonderful week at Casa Encantada!! Captain Julie and Pam have managed to create an oasis that feels like your own private resort!! We loved the spacious house that was full of character and charm. The kitchen is fabulous...quite honestly outfitted better than my own at home!! Our family loved cooking wonderful meals, and enjoyed dining by candlelight on the screen porch!! The property is beautifully landscaped with wonderful views of the water!! Sunsets are to die for!!! The lagoon style pool and Tiki Bar/Hut make this wonderful property complete!! We hardly saw anything outside these walls, as we couldn't tear ourselves away. I don't know who loved it more, our dogs or us!! We all agreed that our time at Casa was a memory that won't be soon forgotten. Captain Julie and Pam are wonderful hosts, and we all hopefully look forward to seeing them again soon!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!!"

  • Great place right on the beach

"We stayed in this unit in early May. We have stayed in rental units in Bradenton Beach many times, and this was our favorite place. The location is perfect for us: not too busy, near the Cortez bridge for easy access to the mainland, on the free trolley route, and most importantly, right on the beach. A great seafood café and store is right across the bridge in Cortez, there is a convenience store right across the street, and the shops on Bridge Street are an easy walk. We have stayed in other units in this building as well, and find that it suits us very well. It is well-maintained, with covered parking and a nice pool right on the beach. It seems to attract friendly renters, and it's a great place for small kids. The unit itself is one of the most thoughtfully equipped units we've rented. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, which is important for us because we like to cook. The rooms are all nicely furnished, very clean, and well set up for storage. The screened deck is where you will spend all your time. We come to Florida so we can look out at the beach and Gulf, and the view from this unit is perfect. We would highly recommend this unit, and plan to return."
