  • Quiet, unhassled getaway

"Nice clean condo; very comfortable beds; large walk in MB closet; W/D in the unit; quiet setting; pool, hot tub; 15-20 min to Punta Gorda airport; gated community a nice plus; not right on the beach if that's what you're looking for; but great to walk around the marina right there, see the boats at night lit up; great restaurant over at sister marina; be sure to take a boat excursion with Bunny and her Cap'n in their pontoon boat. Fort Myers Beach, Gasparilla Island all driveable. Boated to N Captiva and could've boated to Gasparilla and a few others from Marina excursions. Fort Myers beach best for little kids IMO. Boat ride worth it to see dolphins. Manatees are right in the marina. Be sure to hit Fisherman's Village shopping area in Punta Gorda. (fyi....no coolers in condo, no hair dryer, had xtra beach towels, TV in MB, spices in kitchen; no cooking oil). Recommend!"

  • Family fun

"It was an amazing week for grandparents and four parents with four under three age children. Several could work in the spacious and well equiped kitchen at the same time. The special fence around the pool, the pool and beach toys, and the play yard allowed the adults to relax while the children entertained themselves. Comfortable beds and an abundance of towels were great. The nearby Ponce de Leon park with a beach, playground and animal hospital/shelter provided additional activities."

  • Winter Get Away

"This was our first winter in Florida. We stayed 3 months. Next year, we'll stay 4 months. Punta Gorda is a great small town with lots of activities and restaurants in the downtown area. Small and quiet with no Spring Breakers. Bike friendly city. The condo has a view of the heated pool and the canals. We used a small boat to explore the canals. Ideal for kayaks too. We saw a family of manatees one afternoon. The condo was recently updated with bright tropical colors. The galley kitchen was very well equipped. The neighbors were welcoming and friendly and invited us to join in their weekly Friday poolside social. Ft Myers and Port Charlotte are half hour drive for cultural activities. Beaches are a longer drive."

  • Very clean, well-equipped house

"My husband and I stayed in this house from Jan 1 to March 15 this year, with our grown children and toddler grandson joining us for a couple of weeks. The house is extremely well equipped, with more linens and towels than you'll ever need and every kitchen gadget you could ask for! The house layout is very nice with two master bedrooms at opposite ends of the house, each with their own large ensuite bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. The only downside is that the third bedroom occupant has no access to a bathroom without going through someone else's bedroom. The lanai and pool are lovely! The lanai faces east, which means not much afternoon sun in early winter, but by March this wasn't an issue. It's a bit of an inconvenience that the lanai has no covered area. When it rains, all the outside furniture gets soaked unless you bring all the cushions inside. The house is on a very quiet street in a lovely neighbourhood, and backs on to a canal for fishing or boating. There is very little car or boat traffic near the house. We brought our kayaks down and enjoyed paddling through the local canals or out to Fisherman's Village. Jo Ellen, the property manager, is readily available to look after your every need and she is wonderful to deal with!"
