"We stayed for 10 days with 2 adults and three teenage girls and there was plenty of space for all of us. We had a great vacation."Guest: MKK Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: June 19, 2014View listing
"This was our second time staying in this unit. We found it exactly how we remembered it from 2 years ago. The owners do a wonderful job keeping the unit clean, comfortable and well equipped. A quick trip to the grocery store and you're set to go. Everything else you will need for the beach or pool is there waiting for you. The view from this condo is amazing!!! Many restaurants, shops and a drug store are within walking distance. We had such a relaxing time here once again. The owners are very helpful and easy to work with. Thank you Rae Ann and John. We will be back very soon."Guest: J & L from Wisconsin Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 12, 2014View listing
"We chose this area for our winter vacation because we wanted a rural experience away from the crowds. During the winter, southern Florida is rife with snowbirds and the coastal areas have row after row of high-rise condos. But the central region is the old/forgotten Florida and it truly is a nature lover's paradise. If you're looking for a wilderness adventure, this is a good place to be. A labyrinth of paths snake through the ten acre property/jungle with a surprise around each corner - towering bamboo trees, huge bird-of-paradise plants with leaves/fronds as big as a man, ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss, palmettos, vines, tall pines, magnolias, and many strange flowers that defied our identification. Wild citrus trees were laden with ripe grapefruit and oranges. A gurgling creek bisects the property and from a wooden bridge we watched a river otter disappear into his den. There is also a natural pond with a large alligator in residence. The home is tastefully decorated with charming high-end folk art - treasures in every room. At twilight we watched wood storks settle into the pond for the night. Sand hill cranes flew low overhead toward their roosting area. The nights were alive with frog and cricket chorus, and many other-worldly sounds. Excitingly eerie! There are no security lights here (good!) so when it gets dark it REALLY gets dark. The stars were incredible at night - Orion straight overhead. We explored the area marshes, beaches, and forests with our car, our bikes, and our canoe. When we paddled the area creeks and rivers we felt like we were in the Amazon - wild and exotic. A nice thing about the local creeks and rivers is that the slow currents allow you to paddle in either direction, eliminating the need to spot a car. The waterways are so remote that you're unlikely to see cabins or other signs of civilization. Just what we wanted! We had a very pleasant stay and the owners were charming and very attentive. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable home in the woods, come to this place."Guest: Bud B. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 27, 2014View listing
"The perfect condo for our family vacation! Beautiful condo, neat and clean and comfy! We had 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 9&6) and we all slept comfortably. All the perks were there: big beach towels, beach toys and chairs, boogie boards and tubes. Bathrooms were really pretty, comfy sheets for beds. Kitchen well stocked and brightly lit. We left some restaurant menus for the next group to enjoy. You can tell Gretchen & Jeff care for their renters by how well the unit is kept up. Parking is good and close to front door. We will be back!"Guest: Suzanne L. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 22, 2014View listing
