  • A great winter escape

"We spent a fantastic week at Betty's and Jim's condo. It had everything we needed. The layout of the condo was perfect for traveling with two friends. There is a bedroom and bath at each end of the condo, so some privacy is allowed. The condo was comfortable and nicely decorated. Best aspects besides the condo itself are: proximity to the beautiful beach, availability of kayaks and canoes at no cost, being on the quiet end of the island, and very close proximity to the Ding Darling Wild Life Refuge."

  • Wonderful!

"Brooke was so very accommodating! We booked last minute and she was able to get payment set up and the keys to us in a timely manner. She responded quickly to emails. The home is just as described. It's 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has a shower and the master bath has a jetted tub. I only used the shower myself so I can only speak to that. Beds were a little uncomfortable; I like mine more firm. Condo was very well stocked with everything we could have needed including linens, pool and beach toys, and kitchen supplies. The pool is large and clean. The parking spot was a little tight so if you are bringing a large vehicle be aware of that. The beach is amazing...once you get there. It's a little bit of a hike there but so worth it! I would definitely recommend this condo and look forward to renting again in the future!"

  • Excellent place to stay

"We just returned from spending a week at this lovely condo. It is a beautifully furnished and decorated place. The owner has thought of everything when equipping this condo even down to additional bedding for extra visitors, toys, children's movies, a pack n play and other items for infants. The place was extremely clean and all appliances (including the TV) were very simple to operate. The lanai was lovely and very private with lots of bushes that hide the parking area. The beach is a short walk and was accessed through a very natural path, bridge over a lagoon and then a sandy path with protected dunes on either side. Cars are parked in a shaded area with protection from the elements and is well-maintained. The pool area is very nice with lots of chairs and restrooms. Check-in was very simple and the staff at the office were helpful and accommodating. The owner provided us with a lengthy list of things we might like to see and do, restaurants and local activities. The J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge was the jewel in the crown - a fabulous place to see local and migrant wildlife, well-structured, and so interesting. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and I would highly recommend staying at this condo when going to Sanibel Island."

  • A Perfect Stay

"My family and I stayed in the condo for a week after Christmas and such a wonderful and relaxing time. The condo was clean and well laid out for our large family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids). The kitchen had any utensil or appliance that we needed. The shower in one of the bathrooms was amazing. It has four different setting: An over head, a six nozzle jet, a foot setting and a removal hand held nozzle. The condo is about a one minute walk to the pool. The tennis courts are right outside the porch. The beach is about a five-ten minute walk. The beach was one of the best parts of our stay the Blind Pass Part of Bowman's beach was beautiful and felt so secluded. We could see how crowded the beach was by the public entrance, but it was almost empty by us. We ate at Island Pizza (okay), Doc Ford's (delicious), The Lazy Flamingo (very good) and The Island a Cow (a fun experience with great food). The Blind Pass complex is well maintained and has very relaxed tropical feel. It is about a 20 minute drive to the nearest market (Jerry's), but being away from Sanibel's main drag made our stay so much more relaxing. The is a CVS that is a little closer. We spent most our time on the beach or by the pool, but we did take a day trip to Cayo Costa. The captain of the boat we took described the island as a little slice of heaven and he was so right. The beach was beautiful and the ride out was great. The kids saw dolphins riding in the wake of the boat a few times. Although we did not do this, people could kayak in Blind Pass Bayou and it looked like there were kayaks that residents of the complex could rent or use. The pool was great. Even when it was crowded, there was still plenty of seating. It was heated to about 85 degrees the whole time we were there. The only bad part about the vacation was coming home. My family and I had such a wonderful time and look forward to returning again."
