"I should not share a review because then everyone wants come to our "home away from home". Our third time there and awesome as always. The pool, the beach, the shelling, the Island Cow, the Thriller Dolphin ride, the house, the seclusion. Every time we go, we spend more and more time at the house instead of exploring because relaxation is my number reason for vacation.
If you go, make sure to read and fill out the vacation log book. I love reading that! It took us to Timbers Restaurant this time. We took a cab because we'd had a couple cocktails on the beach earlier :) It was $10 each way. Sanibel Cab, I think was the name.
Every evening on the beach, we were mostly all to ourselves. During the daytime, wasn't much different most days. I recommend it to everyone here but SHHHH, don't tell anybody! Thanks again Micca!"

"The condo is exactly as advertised. Clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The beach is always enjoyable and not crowded in September. There was a lovely bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a nice touch. Great balcony for relaxing in the evening. We would rent again. (-:"

"We have been to Sanibel many times, always having to come down during high season Spring break weeks. Luckily, the MIL rents a house every year, so it's been awhile since we rented a condo. My husband and I decided to spend our Anniversary in Sanibel, so we decided to find a condo on the beach. There are several things about Gulf Beach that make it a great choice - it is a very small complex, with just one building containing 14 units. The reason this is so great is that there is a nice stretch of beach that will end up being used by so few people. When I walked down the beach, other spots were mobbed (even during the off season) because there were clumps of building with tons of condos all sharing the little beach frontage. 106 was a great choice for us because it was relatively cheap, and we saved even more money by not having to rent bikes that can cost a couple hundred dollars per week each. The 106 storage locker is jammed with beach chairs, sand and beach paddle toys, floaties, shelling nets (and now beach umbrellas that we left) and the like, so don't buy anything. You will have everything you need. The condo is totally fine - it was very clean when we arrived and it has everything you would need. The units on the second floor of this condo might have a little better views of the ocean, but we still really enjoyed sitting on the lanai and having a cocktail. The owner of this condo was quick to respond to our rental request, and everything was handled by Sanibel Holiday and they were great to deal with and there is you need anything. We had great weather, but there are a ton of board games, books and videos in the unit if you were to have rain. The east end of the island is great - a little quieter. You can quickly bike down to lighthouse beach to watch the sunrise and I would seriously recommend that."

"A fourth trip to Sanibel, our first stay in the "Gulf Beach" complex. This unit has recent upgrades, including a new washer/dryer, dining table/chairs, mattresses/box springs, bed pillows, and keyless entry. The owner has thought of just about everything you could possibly want or need, all neatly kept in cabinets and drawers. There is a storage closet for this unit, parking lot level, containing items for outdoor use. The lanai is a delightful place to "dine in," nap, or watch the sun rise. This complex is located on East Gulf Drive, just a short bike ride to the Lighthouse Cafe, Pinocchio's Ice Cream, or The Sporty Seahorse Shop, one of my favorites.
Gulf Beach 105 is sure to please!"
